There are many formats to choose from when drafting a cover letter. Many people prefer a straightforward, paragraph based cover letter simply because they’re comfortable with it or possibly because they haven’t heard of other, possibly better formats.
One style in particular that we in the ETP Network find exceptionally beneficial is the T–Letter.
The express purpose of a T–Letter is to demonstrate — with strong visual impact — exactly why you are uniquely qualified for the position you seek. If you’ve done your homework well and selected a position for which you are a dead–on match, a T–Letter gives you the chance to lay out your case for the job “point by point” using a chart in the middle of the letter. The chart compares each core requirement for the job on the left with a corresponding “qualification bullet” on the right demonstrating how you have proven experience for that requirement.
Creating a Cover Letter which will actually get noticed and read can be a daunting challenge. Your Cover Letter serves as your introduction to who you are and needs to be compelling enough to get the reader to look at your experience.
Join The Team at FlexHourJobs.com as we discuss how to craft your Cover Letter to specific jobs and what to avoid when using the same letter in your job search.

By highlighting one’s personal brand, or all of the aspects that make an individual unique, candidates can stand out from the pack and really get employers to notice them.
Personal branding gives candidates the power to define themselves and make an impression that might be even more memorable than a standout cover letter. When building a personal brand, students should spend time self-reflecting and considering how others view them, especially online. Experts suggest that a few of the ways that candidates can impress potential future employers are creating a LinkedIn account, cleaning up personal social media profiles and making business cards. Even physical appearance and style can be made to work in one’s favor by aligning it with your brand.
1. Reflect on who you are and what you have to offer.
A personal brand needs to be first and foremost personal.
2. Build a personal website.
Once you’ve established what you want from your personal brand, the next step is to make it available to the world online.
3. Clean up your social media accounts to establish a more professional online presence.
When building a personal brand, not all publicity is good publicity

Don't be to hard on yourself, even our greates Presidents made GREAT MISTAKES. Extrapolated from Chicago Tribune-Perspective.
Feb 16, 2015 we celebrated President's Day but did you know that some of America's greatest leaders were racists, imperialists, philanderers, abusers of power, deniers of rights and just plain misguided people.
On the other hand, they also took bold and risky steps to keep us FREE and we might not even have a country if it weren't for them.
Human beings are like that, full of contradictions.
Cults of personality are the enemy of democracy...etc.
The GOOD and the BAD...etc.
FDR abused his power by...etc.
Abe, leaving citizens jailed...etc.
Truman, a letter to Bess his future wife...etc.
JFK, notorious and Reagan ignored...etc.
