The Complications of Coupling: One Man's Controversial Views

    in Relationships

In this 45 minute episode Susan Lager, a psychotherapist specializing in couples work, co-hosts with Dr. Charles Rawlings, outspoked author of "It Really Is That Complicated - The Myths That Exist About Male-Female Relationships," a book about his views regarding the challenges of coupling in modern times.

Together they explore some of his controversial stances about relationships, and how, in his opinion, they center around control, manipulation and bartering. Lager, a strong proponent of the power of collaboration, mutual healing and growth, looks for the hope in his message.

This Week's Creative Coupling Energies Spark Volatile Changes

    in Spirituality

This week's lesson is in the art of discrimination.

Have an open mind when this new and very tempting situation presents itself, but only go midway to meet it.  Look and listen, and the truth will be revealed well before you become completely engaged and are involved in a downward spiral of negative energy. Be on notice to protect yourself and honor your sacred space.  Find stillness in the potential chaos. It is here you will find the truth that will serve you.

    In all things there is
    Dark and there is light,
    Yin and yang.
    Do not be seduced by
    Flattery or riches.

In your situation, attempting to be in control is folly. You cannot control what the heavens bring your way. Simply let this yin energy flow through you. Do not retreat, even if you feel afraid. Use your fear as fuel to look deeply into the situation and it will bring clarity and light into what was previously held in darkness. Above all, do not turn your back on this force. Bravely take the risk to face your fears, and the darkness will become light. Your weaknesses will become your strength, and your tears will give way to joy. Grieve for what or whom you must let go of and make your move into with the lightness achieved as you move to satisfaction and completion.

    in Spirituality

We are grateful and honored to have as a very special guest, Mwalimu Baruti to discuss Complimentarity of Afrikan coupling. The choices and decisions that guide how we go about coupling, chosing a mate, and creating families are very important and have an impact, not just on the individual but, the families, community and nation as a whole. For those who are truly serious about nation building, this is an important topic of discussion whether or not one is single, married, divorced, or anywhere in between.

The Afrikan Family is under attack and we must unify in mind, spirit, body and purpose. The couple is the bedrock of the nation which is built by families that couples build and thus form society upon which a nation is built. As we strive toward self determination and building apart from our oppressors and return to true Black Afrikan Power!

"It [is] imperative that we carefully choose our mates for Afrikan reasons. We must choose with vision. For we are the vanguard. We are soldiers in love with forming beautiful families, rearing happy, thinking children, building strong, lasting communities, raising a mighty nation and removing all enemies. For Afrikan warrior scholar complements, there is no other reason for being." -Mwalimu Baruti

    Bringing Heaven To Earth

    in Spirituality

Through the ancient secrets of Star coupling, the idea is not to go to heaven but to bring heaven to the physical consciousness.  Then to manifest it into the physical as the New Jerusalem.  We have always been Spiritual beings experiencing a physical lifetime.  Sometimes we forget our purpose and path. When we can live our lives with a higher purpose and work to keep our ego under control, we will begin to see the beauty of love that God shares with us.  Even Nature will show us clues of God's holy kingdom. This show is perfectly timed for those cosmic events that are occuring presently.  A do not miss episode.

Interview with artist - James Knowles aka 'live-by-evil"

    in Art

James Knowles bio composed by artist Pedro Silva

    “Talent imitates—Genius steals”

This Oscar Wilde's, T.S. Elliot's, Pablo Picasso's and Banksy's quote would be all the description we may need of James Knowles's art, but then again, once we have met his art, the word genius seems insufficient to describe his art.

An image made of many images, a kaleidoscope of visions. In his collages James Knowles takes the images from other artists, and he makes them his own, twisting them 180° of their original intention, until they say what he meant them to say.

Born in Darlington SC. in 1979 and currently living in Cheraw SC. with his wife and their two children. He takes the time to cut and paste accumulating hundreds of tiny stories. Waiting for their moment to take their place on his works. A true melting pot of the imaginary.

In his youth, from time to time, James Knowles abandoned art, but art never abandoned James Knowles. It was always there. Even in his most lethargic moments, it was there waiting for him to open the door again.

Apart from the magnificent collages he's known for, James also paints and sculpts. Amazing amalgams of dream and nightmares. Again, a million different cells forming a new being.

One can sense the subjects on James Knowles's art dancing to the beat of their own vivid imagination. On that fantastic world where frenetic dreams become fulfilling realities: the never-never land of true art.

Perhaps the words of a fellow collage maker would fit:

"Collage is the noble conquest of the irrational, the coupling of two realities, irreconcilable in appearance,
upon a plane which apparently does not suit them." - Max Ernst

ODWIRA: Kamiti Culture and Pseudo-Kemeticism - Pt. 2

    in Education

In this episode of ODWIRA we build upon our previous broadcast: EGUA - Marketplace: Real New Year, Real Zodiac and Pseudo-Kemeticism [http://www.blogtalkradio.com/odwirafo/2015/01/01/egua--marketplace-real-new-year-real-zodiac-and-pseudo-kemeticism] by delineating the differences between authentic Kamiti culture and pseudo-Kemeticism. Those Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans~Black People) who have yet to consciously purge themselves of the infection of white culture have brought that infection to bear in the form of pseudo-Kemeticism.

Concepts such as monotheism, atheism, pseudo-metaphysics, 'exoteric' and 'esoteric' forms of christianity, 'christ consciousness', islam, judaism/hebrewism, gnosticism, hermeticism, gnosticism, sufism, kabbalism, vendanta, hinduism, taoism, buddhism, pseudo-'native'-american spirituality, 'new'-age pseudo-spirituality, unconditional love, interracial coupling, multiculturalism, 'universalism', dissexuality/homosexuality, moral relativism, extraterrestrialism and more have absolutely nothing to do with the culture and religion of our Ancestresses and Ancestors from ancient Khanit and Kamit (Nubia and Egypt) nor its expression in Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) Ancestral Religion and Cultures today.

We examine these issues as addressed in many of our publications. Download the free e-book versions of our books from  our NHOMA page:
