Bawdy and Mafaba are sisters that have been laughing at life situations for years. They will discuss anything and laugh about things that might seem taboo to some. When life sends lemons their way, they just squeeze the laugh out of them.
Country music has a song to cover just about anything now so how about it? Is your life like a country song?
It was April of 2008, and the LoCash Cowboys were doing what they do best--rocking a packed house. They were at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon, where the two of them--Preston Brust and Chris Lucas--had met a few years earlier. The amped-up crowd was living, screaming proof that they had put the time since then to good use. They had been criss-crossing the country, honing their craft on stages large and small, developing one of the most dynamic live shows in any genre of music. Along the way, they had sold more than 60,000 copies of their homemade CD, earned endorsements from the likes of Budweiser, shared bills with artists including Charlie Daniels and ZZ Top, performed at halftime of NBA and U.S. Olympic team basketball games, and earned television appearances ranging from Tanya Tucker's reality show "Tuckerville" to "Pageant School: Becoming Miss America," writing the theme songs for both.
Hailing from coastal Maryland, Jason Morton and Brett Wilmer of The Cheaters, brings a rejuvenating edge as well as class tight harmonies to country music with the release of their new EP Waitin’ On Right Now. The EP showcases the band’s high energy personalities with their lighter-swaying tunes including She’s Got A Way and The Cotton’s Gettin’ High, a party anthem of a good ole southern Saturday night. With enviable talent they have held their own opening for renowned bands such as ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kid Rock, Eric Church, Shooter Jennings and many others. From entering a contest and being handpicked by Slash as an opening act, to being the only band picked by Paul McCartney’s manager to represent the U.S. in a Lithuanian Music Festival, these guys have rocked with some legends and are ready to show country music what they are made of. They can rock out on guitar like Skynyrd with explosive crescendos but, are still able to sing to the hearts of many with their vulnerable ballads like Eric Church. The Cheaters have sold thousands of records and played over 1,000 shows throughout the U.S.A., in addition to successfully performing in Europe, Guam and Japan.

One Heart Song was founded by Grandmother Pa'Ris'Ha 55 years ago, when in her travels around the world she found that the many spiritually conscious people she met, had through natural intuition been dedicating time and the power of thought to global peace within a few hours of each other. Grandmother focused that intent and energy into a synergistic wave web that moves through the time zones knitting together the new mind of the earth.
At 7:30 PM Thursdays groups and individuals in the Global Prayer Network focus and send energy for the healing of the world. In this time of collective focus we hold the ideal of humanity in our minds. We collectively change consciousness that through the emanation on every cell in matter, even the Earth herself, we become a galactic effect. In this moment, we become and accept total awareness of our origin in Divinity – this empowers all energy, all life, all humanity. We become “God is.” We experience the “I am that I am.”
Today, One Heart Song Global Prayer Network has a range of influence of over Five Hundred Million People.
We invite you to join this Spiritual Consciousness Family in these moments and let us include our appreciation for the millions of communities and keepers who have led and maintained the purity of such an act and acknowledgement of humanity’s divinity.

Country music is a soundtrack of the south. With the artistry of vocalist and songwriter Amanda Lamb, the compass points to Southern California and the sun swept shores of Orange County. Amanda’s new single, “We Were Here,” is an invitation to a coastline drive and an exuberant nod to her West coast roots. Her wistful “Endless Summer” evokes a vivid panorama of rusted Woodies, shivering palm trees, abandoned surfboards and deserted cottages.
Growing up in Newport Beach, humming along to Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain on the radio, Amanda Lamb was entranced by the authenticity of country music. “The stories in these songs sounded real,” she says. When she began her personal musical journey, she recalls her grandmother making a perceptive suggestion. “She said, ‘Why aren't you singing country?’” Recording in Nashville, she realized that her Grandmother had been right. “Country Music feels more comfortable than anything I have ever done,” she says. “It feels like home.”
Okay, so I'm doing the show tonight with some fill in co-hosts because J-nizzle is feeling under the weather. This show is for her. I'm buzzing pretty hard right now & I may just sing the song I wrote.
HICKS (Miqael Persson) is a country singer and an accomplished songwriter. While in Nashville, he was able to co-write with top songwriters Anthony Smith, Dallas Rogers, Dennis Morgan and Sharon Vaughn. He met with his U.S. publisher and learned that a song he wrote ‘Cuts Like A Diamond’ on his last U.S. visit was picked up by the Little River Band. Not only did they record it, but it became the title of their new album to be released in August when they start a nationwide tour of the U.S. to promote it. Other artists such as Jimi Jamison (Survivor), Giant (Dann Huff), Bobby Kimball (Toto), W.E.T (Featuring Jeff Scott Soto), Grammy nominated Toby Hitchcock and many more have recorded his songs. Born in the southern part of Sweden, Miqael grew up with a dream of making a living with his music. Playing in local bands he wrote music, toured and learned to be a better artist and songwriter. He soon moved to Stockholm to pursue his dream of being a songwriter. His first cut with another artist was the Swedish band Barbados that cut one of his country songs. Hicks' latest single is called Hayride.
Country singer ALLY MAYSON won the 2012 Ottawa Idol competition. Since then, she's recorded several songs written by writers from Nashville and Los Angeles. All of them have been produced by Eldon J. Fox and Brian Fox - and recorded at Pebble Studios in Ottawa. Her latest song is called Kiss Me Like U Mean It. On the importance of winning the 2012 singing competition, Ally says "“My favorite thing about being on Ottawa Idol was meeting new people and getting the experience to practice and play with a professional band, without that experience I would not be where I am today.”
