It was April of 2008, and the LoCash Cowboys were doing what they do best--rocking a packed house. They were at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon, where the two of them--Preston Brust and Chris Lucas--had met a few years earlier. The amped-up crowd was living, screaming proof that they had put the time since then to good use. They had been criss-crossing the country, honing their craft on stages large and small, developing one of the most dynamic live shows in any genre of music. Along the way, they had sold more than 60,000 copies of their homemade CD, earned endorsements from the likes of Budweiser, shared bills with artists including Charlie Daniels and ZZ Top, performed at halftime of NBA and U.S. Olympic team basketball games, and earned television appearances ranging from Tanya Tucker's reality show "Tuckerville" to "Pageant School: Becoming Miss America," writing the theme songs for both.

Hailing from coastal Maryland, Jason Morton and Brett Wilmer of The Cheaters, brings a rejuvenating edge as well as class tight harmonies to country music with the release of their new EP Waitin’ On Right Now. The EP showcases the band’s high energy personalities with their lighter-swaying tunes including She’s Got A Way and The Cotton’s Gettin’ High, a party anthem of a good ole southern Saturday night. With enviable talent they have held their own opening for renowned bands such as ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kid Rock, Eric Church, Shooter Jennings and many others. From entering a contest and being handpicked by Slash as an opening act, to being the only band picked by Paul McCartney’s manager to represent the U.S. in a Lithuanian Music Festival, these guys have rocked with some legends and are ready to show country music what they are made of. They can rock out on guitar like Skynyrd with explosive crescendos but, are still able to sing to the hearts of many with their vulnerable ballads like Eric Church. The Cheaters have sold thousands of records and played over 1,000 shows throughout the U.S.A., in addition to successfully performing in Europe, Guam and Japan.

Host Charlie Checkers
When I hear "Back to School" it feels like They are returning to a place that is behind them. Sort of like going "Back to Prison" They are similar because you are locked into a regimen that is forceful and controlling. School is like a place for conforming rather than expanding. " Is this how we permit America to enlighten, Mpower and direct our babies? Should we but in?Expansion isn't in the vocabulary when you hear teachers speak about their curriculum. School gets you to conform and to inject everyone with the same information (or lack thereof) so we will all move the same way and time and have the same perspective. In school we all memorize the same 4 things, Reading, Writing, Arithmetic and the European culture. Parents are really saying , My little Johnnie is so smart because he conforms quicker and more thoroughly than your dumb Suzy. Or "Girls conform quicker than little boys so they are smarter than boys".
Bullying is experienced by more than 1 in 5 school children-over 8% of all children report being bullied frequently. Barely a day goes by when we don't hear about an incident at school, in a playground or neighborhood where a child is emotionally, verbally, or physically abused.
June Hunt, author of Bullying: Bully No More defines the topic and offers parents a clear-headed approach to protecting their children or stopping the behavior if their children are the perpetrators. Bullies have been part of culture forever but protecting children from harassment is even more complex in our digital world.

Country music is a soundtrack of the south. With the artistry of vocalist and songwriter Amanda Lamb, the compass points to Southern California and the sun swept shores of Orange County. Amanda’s new single, “We Were Here,” is an invitation to a coastline drive and an exuberant nod to her West coast roots. Her wistful “Endless Summer” evokes a vivid panorama of rusted Woodies, shivering palm trees, abandoned surfboards and deserted cottages.
Growing up in Newport Beach, humming along to Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain on the radio, Amanda Lamb was entranced by the authenticity of country music. “The stories in these songs sounded real,” she says. When she began her personal musical journey, she recalls her grandmother making a perceptive suggestion. “She said, ‘Why aren't you singing country?’” Recording in Nashville, she realized that her Grandmother had been right. “Country Music feels more comfortable than anything I have ever done,” she says. “It feels like home.”
