Ways to Prepare Your Young Girl to Become a Lovely Woman

    by Lisa ·

Be gentle in words and actions. Let your beauty come from a gentle and quiet spirit (I Pet. 3:4).
Determine to be strong. As a woman, you’ll face many situations where you’ll need to be steady and of a sound mind. Strength and honor are her clothing (Prov. 31:25).
Live purely. There’s goodness and power in purity.
Choose joy. You will bless everyone around you with your joyful countenance. Besides, it’s a lovely way to live.
Seek wisdom. And as wisdom comes from above, look up (James 3).
Laugh freely. It will lighten your spirit and everyone else around you too.
Care for your health. Be sure and eat good foods, exercise, and get enough rest. If you care for yourself, then you’ll be better able to care for others too.
Speak sweetly. People will be able – and more open – to listen to you if you do.
Be willing to work hard. Learn to enjoy your tasks and take on what must be tackled (Prov. 31:13).
Sing loudly. A song can both change a mood and give glory to God. So make a loud noise! (Ps. 98:4).

Hope for discouraged saints - Our hope is in Christ

    in Religion

Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX speaks today about hope for discouraged saints. Many saints in the bible experienced discouragement. In Psalms 42:5-8 says, "Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance. O my God, my soul is cast down within me; Therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan, And from the heights of Hermon,
From the Hill Mizar. Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me. The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me." The thing that causes us to begin to rise again is hope in Him. It is helpful to remember the things that God has done. That is how you will remember and know the God that we serve.

Romans 15:13 says, "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." The Holy Spirit causes us to be able to abound in hope.

Hope is not wishful thinking, rather it is the anchor in our lives.  Our hope is in Christ.

God takes us through processes to bring change into our lives, to bring change into our lives through the Holy Spirit being poured out into our lives.

Pastor Brad continues teaching from 1 Kings 19 about the prophet Elijah who had lost hope.

    in Current Events

In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

6 Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

7 The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet,

    Matthew 28:1-6 (KJV)
1  In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2  And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3  His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4  And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5  And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

pregnant by him and bore a son. 2. And his body was white as snow and red as the blooming of a rose, and the hair of his head †and his long locks were white as wool, and his eyes beautiful†. And when he opened his eyes, he lighted up the whole house like the sun, and the whole house was very bright. 3. And thereupon he arose in the hands of the midwife, opened his mouth, and †conversed with† the Lord of righteousness. 4. And his father Lamech was afraid of him and fled, and came to his father Methuselah. 5. And he said unto him: 'I have begotten a strange son, diverse from and unlike man, and resembling the sons of the God of heaven; and his nature is different and he is not like us, and his eyes are as the rays of the sun, and his countenance is glorious.

SDG 183 The Miracles of Jesus 5 Walking on Water

    in Spirituality

    John 6:15

Would you consider life's  TROUBLES a friend?.

Now you probably never viewed TROUBLE as your friend?

But how would you like to have a friend to help make you a mature believer?

Well the truth is we do and his name is Trouble.

So if trouble is actually our friend... what exactly IS a "friend"?

Well a true friend is someone that makes us better people.

In fact The Bible says, “As iron sharpens iron so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”

That means that a true friend will put an edge on our lives and a true friend will make us  sharper people!

Now my best of friends do that for me and praise God for men like Johnny and Bill!

And sometimes friends like them that love me so much will even hurt me in order to help me!

    REALLY!!!!

The Bible says in Proverbs, “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceit.”

So how would you like to have a friend like that?

Well I'm telling we already do and his name is Trouble.

And when we learn to view life's troubles from this perspective, the entire situation changes as we go through trouble.

So in this message we'll dive into John 6 after the 3rd miracle of the fishes and loaves and the feeding of over 5000 people to where Jesus walked on water!

So stay tuned for six truths in these scriptures PROVING that Jesus is God’s answer to our deepest despair.  Now we can call these truths the six anchors of the soul.

These are six truths to save for your next storm that our old friend named "Trouble" is certain to stir up in our lives!
