1 Cor 6:18-20 says Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. We were bought with a price, and a costly one it was for all the sin of mankind. But its something about sexual sin that has a dangerous and disasterous effect to it. Simply put, its short term pleasure with long term consequences . This perhaps gives real meaning to the phrase "you reap what you sow".....this includes shame, guilt, pain and heart ache as well as a life time of regret. Truly a price we can't pay. The good news however is that Christ understands our struggle with the desires of the flesh and He loves us so much He seeks to save us from the bondage of sin. We must ask ourselves these and many other questions regarding sexual sin. Am I willing to lose my marriage with sexual sin? Am I ready to lose my family, friends to my own lustful cravings? How much am I willing to pay? And the master manipulator, Satan will never tell you the cost of this sin up front but he will be expecting you to pay in the end. Thanks be to God that we already have a way of escape through the cross, becuase Jesus already paid it all.

Robert Cost, an author from Portsmouth, Virginia has been writing poetry, music and short stories since the age of 5. In First Grade at Tanners Creek Elementary he won second place at a book story competition. That's when he was pushed by his family to write more stories, although he failed to take heed to their advice.
It wasn't until Robert was 20 and serving a 10 year sentence in the penitentiary where he decided to pick up the pen again. At the time he was gang banging and had a lot of hatred & resentment in his heart. He thought he would never make it home. With the many trials & tribulations he was going through, he used the pen as a way of expressing himself. Almost like a form of release. His stories might be a work of fiction, but the pain, turmoil, emotions expressed within those pages are too real!
Please join us Sunday at 10AM CST as we discuss the high cost of being poor. The protests across America has brought to light how Blacks, Native Americans, and Latinos are unfairly targeted with broken windows policing. So many times we seek God for His perfect will. And when we say it's not my will, but thy will be done. Then the very thing or person that God desires for us, may not come in the packaging, size, color that you had in mind. So, you decide to go with what you feel is best. Then when all hell breaks loose, you want God to fix it.
Did you take the time to Count of the Cost of your own Desires? Are you still dealing with the aftermath of it?

The Cost of Ministry
School of the Spirit
School of the Prophets
The King’s College (for the Sons of God) For some who have endured the training of the School of the Prophets, the Lord extends an invitation to enter the King’s College. When the Lord asks, “Who will go for us?” there is a response in this one’s heart, “Here am I, send me.” This is the difference between “going” and “being sent.”
Hindrances to Ministry The greatest hindrances to dependent ministry are the world system, our flesh and the devil.
The World System The most damaging manifestation of the world system in Christianity is in the form of religious organization. In order to expose and deny the world system, which says that if you are in the center of God’s will nothing bad will happen, at some point in time the Lord brings us through experiences we would not choose for ourselves.
The Flesh For many, the temptation of the flesh is to rely on our own strength once we get into the ministry. We recognize that God has planted our feet on a path, but we assume ownership of the journey. So He crosses our path to expose our flesh; that even in our greatest strength we can do nothing on our own. Then He will let us fail, often publicly.
The Devil Any believer learning to depend on God is automatically on the devil’s “Hit List.” Failing to recognize his influence, and failure to learn how to overcome the enemy and his demons, will almost certainly lead to a constant drain on the movement of the Spirit that God intended. With personal dependence comes personal warfare; ignorance of his influence is surrender to it.
