SORT BY Relevancy
As the world evolves and more efforts are made to understand and embrace different cultures, religions, and lifestyles, is society resorting to political correctness which sets it on a path to social Marxism as some have claimed?
When is it acceptable to hold individuals and corporations (and its executives) accountable for their prejudicial beliefs or the organisations they support?
Can we go too far in pursuit of a story, justice, or what we perceive as righteous and open-minded behaviour?
Is there a point when the offended becomes the offender, or is all fair in the pursuit of a tolerant society?
Join us in what is certain to be a spirited discussion about tolerance, acceptance, and striking a balance between this and the right to believe and live as we choose.
As very dangerous people take advantage of political correctness, our country seems to be falling for it more now than ever. Being offended seems to win the day and the enemy knows that. Are you guilty?
Changing minds every day of the week!

Where does all this stuff that you’ve heard about this morning – the victim feminism, the gay rights movement, the invented statistics, the rewritten history, the lies, the demands, all the rest of it – where does it come from? For the first time in our history, Americans have to be fearful of what they say, of what they write, and of what they think. They have to be afraid of using the wrong word, a word denounced as offensive or insensitive, or racist, sexist, or homophobic.
We have seen other countries, particularly in this century, where this has been the case. And we have always regarded them with a mixture of pity, and to be truthful, some amusement, because it has struck us as so strange that people would allow a situation to develop where they would be afraid of what words they used. But we now have this situation in this country. We have it primarily on college campuses, but it is spreading throughout the whole society. Were does it come from? What is it?

The spread of Ebola has created fear around the world as the disease has spread from its epicenter in West Africa to the United States and elsewhere. Is the federal government putting political correctness ahead of common sense in dealing with the problem? Why are we sending troops and doctors to Africa and not quarantining the problem where is started? Are the airport screening policies accomplishing anything? We will discuss the latest information on this story and examine the Obama administration predictably weak and ineffective response to it.
What does it mean when religious people describe atheists as angry or militant? Why do non-believers often describe the religious as stupid, ignorant and batsh*t crazy? Do we have to respect others' beliefs? What is the difference, if any, between respecting the person and respecting their beliefs?

Lastly, "22 Jump Street" & "The Wolf of Wall Street" actor, Jonah Hill was recently caught using homophobic slurs towards a member of the paparazzi, was his public apology enough? Do we excuse certain behavior and language because its still socially acceptable?
