On this episode of Carson's Corner, Bob discusses the November midterm elections (as if they really matter) and what it means for America.
In an effort to move America closer to Fascism, the Supreme Court is looking to expand corporate personhood. The American people have been victim to a corporate civil rights movement that has to stop.
Also, Bob recently read the book, "Consent To Tyranny" by Mark E. Smith. The book, which is short and available online, tells us why we should not vote. All of this and more on Carson's Corner, in conjuction with The Commons Project Network.
We have two guests for the show tonight!
In the first half of the show, we'll be talking with Rev. Carol Howard Merritt, the award-winning author of Tribal Church: Ministering to the Missing Generation (Rowman and Littlefield) and Reframing Hope: Vital Ministry in a New Generation (Rowman and Littlefield) and a frequent contributor to books, websites, magazines, and journals. She is a regular columnist at the Christian Century where her blog, “Tribal Church,” is hosted. She’s a Presbyterian (USA) minister whose writing, speaking, and teaching is anchored in theological and sociological insight. Carol will be talking with us about how corporate personhood conflicts or complements Christian, and broadly spiritual, notions of personhood.
In the second half, we will talk with Libby Carr, a long-time activist and the campaign manager for WAmend, a coalition of grassroots organizations (including several local MTA groups) who believe that unlimited and anonymous money has corrupted our political system. Libby will be talking about WAmend's efforts in Washington State in calling for an amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
"What's on Your Mind?" This installment we will be talking with people from different movements that are standing against corporate personhood, money as speech and the Citizens United ruling. We will hear from people involved with 99%, MoveON, Move To Amend and others. Also Brian Gunn who has just announced his candidacy for State Representative for Washington's 31st District. Hear for yourself what he will be doing in his campaign, that all candidates should do. Tune I

With Special Guest Bryan Austin - Founder and “Chief Game Changer” of Game On! Learning.
In this episode of Gamification Talk Radio, we’ll be discussing Winning Back Your Workforce: Improving Learning Impact and Performance through Games
A revolt is building in Corporate America.
Corporate L&D has been deploying eLearning by the ton to their workforces to meet a wide variety of learning needs. There is literally a tidal wave of continual and ongoing requirements, and insufficient turnaround time, resources and budget to deliver online learning that is engaging, compelling and effective.
Employees are starting to loudly voice their displeasure, and learning & development professionals are being vilified unfairly.
This session will share case studies describing how some L&D organizations are responding to the challenge with learning games, and deploying game-based learning platforms to significantly reduce the time required to develop and deploy high-end, more effective learning.
