CM Radio - Mar 25, 2015 - Thomas D'Arcy, Rebel Hero, Luke Nicholson

    in Music

Lots to talk about in this episode, with four - yep, four - interviewees.

Thomas D'Arcy's latest full-length, Fooled You Twice, dropped in early March and since, it's been getting a lot of positive attention. New Canadian Music, for example, said, "Pop craftsman Thomas D'Arcy is at his melodic and catchy best on second solo record Fooled You Twice." Mike chats with Thomas about the album and a lot more.

Luke Nicholson's Frantic City is his most poignant album to date. Having written the majority of material for this record while touring away from his new born daughter, one can hear the love, and maturity in both his lyrics and delivery. He's also launched an interesting new contest we'll chat about.

Mike also catches up with Toronto's Rebel Hero, a funk-rock trio with an impressive resume that's taking part in the April 4, 2015 edition of Generation Next Live at the Phoenix.

Finally, we speak with musician, engineer, producer, and studio owner Mike Saracino about his new initiative, The Globe Series, which takes him around the world to record on-the-rise musicians and spawn international collaborations.

Reader's Entertainment Radio Presents: Heather Graham

    in Books

Reader's Entertainment Radio welcomes NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, Heather Graham to the show on Thursday, March 26th at 6pm EST!  With over one hundred and fifty books and novellas to her credit, her latest novel, The Dead Play On, continues the tradition of excellence for which Heather Graham is well known!

    Book Blurb:

    Play a song for me…

Musicians are being murdered in New Orleans. But Arnie Watson apparently died by his own hand. When Tyler Anderson plays the saxophone he inherited from Arnie, a soldier and musician who died soon after his return, he believes he sees visions of his friend's life—and death. He becomes convinced Arnie was murdered and that the instrument had something to do with whatever happened, and with whatever's happening all over the city…

Tyler knows his theory sounds crazy to the police, so he approaches Danni Cafferty, hoping she and Michael Quinn will find out what the cops couldn't. Or wouldn't. After all, Cafferty and Quinn have become famous for solving unusual crimes.

They're partners in their personal lives, too. Quinn's a private investigator and Danni works with him. When they look into the case, they discover a secret lover of Arnie's and a history of jealousies and old hatreds that leads them back to the band Arnie once played with—and Tyler plays with now.

They discover that sometimes, for some people, the line between passion and obsession is hard to draw. Only in uncovering the truth can they hope to save others—and themselves—from the deadly hands of a killer.

The Time is NOW for The ReSurfacing of David Pic Conley

    in Entertainment

Hey there Tea Sippers! We are going to read all of the tea leaves on this one as we have been waiting for a sign that music was going to return to telling stories and being the voice for those who can't put it the words or the groove together to tell what's on their hearts.  For many of us, our teenage years were full of songs that really expressed how we were feeling and dealing with life at that time and my guest today is the founding member of one of those groups that spoke to and for us......

When SURFACE hit the scene with "Shower Me with Your Love", "Happy", "Closer Than Friend" and the many other jewels that become our language, this man was the creative force behind it.....and now this man and the crew is about to RESURFACE and let the magic begin again as our language is more sophisticated, experienced, and wiser!  Mr. David Pic Conley will be Dishing Tea with Big Meach about the journey from then til now.   We will get into the psyche of the business from the musician's standpoint and not just the vocalist.

This is going to be a Wonderfully, Delicious Hot Pot of tea for your nerves, darling so make sure you have plenty of crumpets!!
