The Expedia 2015 Airplane Etiquette Study just released this month (November) found that 59% of Americans believe “Inattentive Parents” – parents who exhibit little or no control over their children – are the 2nd most aggravating co-passengers.
The number 1 most aggravating? “Rear Seat Kickers.” And since kids tend to be the biggest culprits, parents are feeling the pressure here, too, when it comes to travelling.Additionally, social shaming has become a reality, according to the survey. A quick glance at #UnrulyKids and you’ll find many of the social media posts originate from airports and airplanes. But with holiday family vacations creating some of the best memories for children and their parents, what can we do to make the travel experience awesome for all involved?
Live via satellite from Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Travel Expert (and mother of four) Sarah Gavin is available to discuss: How parents can enhance their attentiveness while on the road during the busiest travel season of the year. What her personal survey of children revealed about how parents change on vacation.Additional findings from the 2015 Airplane Etiquette Study
We heard you did a study about the most annoying people on planes. Who came in as most annoying and what to do you do this holiday if you’re stuck next to them? Or if you’re one of them?
That looks like the Disney castle behind you. What’s new at Disney this holiday season? How can families save money this holiday? Do you have any tips and tricks on when to buy, when to travel. Any other news in advance of the holiday travel season?Where can our viewers for go for more information?

What I Discovered From Interviewing Imprisoned ISIS Fighters - They’re drawn to the movement for reasons that have little to do with belief in extremist Islam.
No sooner am I settled in an interviewing room in the police station of Kirkuk, Iraq, than the first prisoner I am there to see is brought in, flanked by two policemen and in handcuffs. I awkwardly rise, unsure of the etiquette involved in interviewing an ISIS fighter who is facing the death penalty. He is small, much smaller than I, on first appearances just a boy in trouble with the police, his eyes fixed on the floor, his face a mask. We all sit on armchairs lined up against facing walls, in a room cloudy with cigarette smoke and lit by fluorescent strip lighting, a room so small that my knees almost touch the prisoner’s—but he still doesn’t look up. I have interviewed plenty of soldiers on the other side of this fight, mostly from the Kurdish forces (known as pesh merga) but also fighters in the Iraqi army (known as the Iraqi Security Forces or ISF), both Arab and Kurdish. ISIS fighters, of course, are far more elusive, unless you are traveling to the Islamic State itself, but I prefer to keep my head on my shoulders.
At the end of the interview w/the first prisoner we ask, “Do you have any questions for us?” For the first time since he came into the room he smiles-in surprise-& finally tells us what really motivated him, w/o any prompting. He knows there's an American in the room, and can perhaps guess, from his demeanor and his questions, that this American is ex-military, and directs his “question,” in the form of an enraged statement, straight at him. “The Americans came,” he said. “They took away Saddam, but they also took away our security.

Who empowers her community through mentoring girls, uplifting abuse survivors and blogging about looking and feeling great while living life on purpose?
LaQuisha Hall, the “Unbothered Queen” of Confidence, goes far beyond what is expected of her. There was a time in LaQuisha’s life where she was not confident in much. She struggled through low self-esteem due to being naturally thin, witnessed domestic violence as a child and was sexually abused by clergy as a teen. Now an international advocate for herself and others, LaQuisha actively works to empower women and youth to overcome catastrophe through Coutured Confidence.
LaQuisha is a force to be reckoned with in communities. She is an award winning community service leader winning regional, state and national pageant titles including Mrs. Essence 2013. She founded the SheRose Awards to give a platform to abuse survivors to share their own stories. Beginning her skills in mentoring at age 16, LaQuisha also spends hours locally and abroad mentoring via her nonprofit program, Queendom T.E.A. (The Etiquette Academy), committed to encouraging and teaching teen girls about personal safety, feminine etiquette and positive self-esteem. She is the author of a self-esteem journal for young girls, Positively Bodyful, and the coauthor of additional books. LaQuisha also enjoys keeping her look fresh while inspiring others as the natural hair and fashion guru behind Corner Curl Girl.
Her “survive, then conquer” philosophy teaches communities to not only overcome catastrophe, but to support others in doing the same. LaQuisha has empowered others to empower others for over a decade and has no plans of stopping!
