    Luther's Conversion Experience

    in Spirituality

[An "On Demand" Re-Broadcast] Most people think of October 31st as Halloween. But on October 31st 1517, Martin Luther nailed a manuscript of 95 theses (statements) to the door of Wittenberg Castle in Germany, marking the start of the Protestant Reformation. He was responding to the claims of Johan Tetzel, a monk raising money on behalf of Pope Leo X. "You should know," Tetzel cried to the crowds, "that whoever has confessed his sins and is contrite and puts alms into the box as his confessor counsels him, will have all of his sins forgiven. So why are you all standing about idly? RUN, all of you, for the salvation of yours souls! Do you not hear the voices of your dead parents, screaming [from Purgatory] and saying 'Have pity on me ... we are suffering severe punishment and pain, from which YOU could rescue us!" * [The Reformation of Hans Hillebrand: Dokument zum Ablasstreit" by W. Kohler, 1517]. This was the state of Christianity before the Reformation; and before Martin Luther. This Thursday, 10/29/15 at 9:30 PM EDT, we'll discuss Luther's crisis of conscience that led to the greatest split ever recorded in Christendom. Your host, Rev. Rick Anderson, on "Jewish Roots", each Thursday through http:://www.scripturesdramatized.com or through http://www.blogtalkradio.com/fougcrew. LIVE Internet radio! Optimizing Online Forms For Conversion

    in Marketing

Some people hate forms. In fact, nearly everybody hates forms. Fill this in, give me your details, do not pass go until you’ve told me you mother’s maiden name. How rude! When you are pumping time and resources into designing your site, you should pay extra attention to the form – it’s a hot spot for turning visitors into leads for your business.

Be sure to read how less form fields can increase conversions on the Marketing Technology Blog. As well, our friends at Formstack published a form conversion report worth reading.

And don’t take my word for it; Expedia gained $12 million in profit by removing just one redundant field from a form.
Also – You may have heard about a decision by the FCC about Net Neutrality, well, we have a couple of opinions here, as you might have guessed. Getting better leads – as long as we can – Today on the EDGE!

Acts 10: The Conversion of Cornelius—on Probing the Prophets with Rod

    in Religion

Recounting the conversion of Saul (apostle to the Gentiles) and the healing of Aeneas (name-sake of the Rome's legendary hero), Luke set the stage for Gentiles to be invited into Christ. Peter was still in Joppa, a seaside town in northern Judea when an angel appeared to Cornelius, a Roman Centurion in Caesarea. "Send for Peter," the angel told him. So, Cornelius sent for him.

Meanwhile, God gave Peter two messages: "Do not call anything 'unclean' after I've cleaned it"; and "Go with the men I sent to you." So, Peter went.

Upon arriving at Cornelius' door, Peter entered and preached the good news: "In every nation the man for fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him." Cornelius became a Christian that very day; he and his entire household

    Study Text: Acts 9:1-22

    Key Verses: Acts 9:1-4

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

And desired of him letters to Damascus to the stnagogues, that if he found any of this way whether they were men or women,

he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me ?

False Conversion, Part 2: Causes and Evidence

    in Christianity

    Episode 8

In this episode we will also be continuing our discussion, as much as time allows, about what false conversion is, what causes it, and what the evidences are in someone's life. What can we look for in someone's life that would show they are possibly a false convert? What are the signs? How are they different from true believers? And once again, we have been embarking on this radio venture, as well as the opportunity to create a whole new, high quality website. If you would like to be a part of supporting Falsified Radio, you can make a donation of any amount on our website. We will talk a little about the movie "Old Fashioned" and answer a few questions from listeners from FB as well.
