SORT BY Relevancy
Remember the kids saying on the playground Liar, Liar Pants on Fire? The United States Congress and the White House may have that saying playing everywhere from the hallowed halls of Congress and the rooms of the White House! Not at anytime in American history could the American people have been more ashamed of their government. No common sense, no constituency concerns only raw unadulterated, selfish agenda driven politics at its best. Where political power is absolute and where compromise is unheard of, all at the expense of working families, who sacrifice, work and drive themselves to a better life, are robbed of their children’s future by men and women who themselves acting as despots give that future away in order to maintain power through the bribery of government give a ways! Join Jimmy and Bernie as they address these issues and many more, today Thursday October 3, 2013 at 7:00PM EST for the next edition of Let’s Talk Justice America on the Blog Talk Radio Network.
Had to bring this rant over from Vine! It is all about how we relate to one another and try to resolve issues between us. We are professionals at blaming one another, but rarely work together for resolution. SO it is time to face the blames and work on resolution. This is for the people who want to move past the blames. So I wil bring forth the issue, then add the reality of what we need to do to fix the issue.
Do you think education gives you tools for empowerment? As we age do we continue to learn or are we like the "old dog" and can't learn new tricks?
Are you in a rute? Maybe learning something new will help? Do you make up excuses why you can't learn anything new? I'm too busy, no money, no time??

Whitby, Ontario-based singer/songwriter BARBARA LYNN DORAN's new CD Love From All Sides finds her displaying even more depth as a vocalist and lyricist. “I’m heavily involved with the Nashville Songwriter’s Association so I’ve learned a lot through that. When I started writing, it was about what I was feeling at that time. I’d write and whatever came out was the way it was. I’m more particular with my lyrics now,” she says, adding that the contributions of longtime producer/co-writer/engineer Murray Daigle have been invaluable in her continuing progress in writing her best songs.
Recently, Barbara has qualified as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, a finalist in the Great American Songwriting Competition and landed a spot on the Nashville Songwriter’s Association 2014 ‘Ones To Watch’ list. Additionally, as a coordinator with the Nashville Songwriter’s Association, she runs songwriter’s workshops for Canadian-based artists, and regularly travels to Music City to meet and perform with a vast number of other songwriters at local open mic nights.
“I’ve been down to Nashville six or seven times in the last two years and it’s been such an eye-opening experience,” Barbara explains. “Sometimes when I’m there the ideas come so fast I have to step back and say, ‘I can’t possibly write all these songs.’ Still, I’ll often come back with two or three of my own songs. So the trips to Nashville really help me focus.”
Tune in for a conversation with this talented Canadian Country artist and hear a couple of the songs from her album.
"Avoidance is NOT resolution." ~ Kimberly Rinaldi
One of the most vital elements of any healthy relationship is the art of confrontation. Not confrontation for the sake of one-upsmanship, but confrontation that is constructive, respectful, and productive. What does that look and sound like, and why do so many people avoid it? That's what we're talking about today. The right way to face what and/or who you've been afraid to confront.
Relationships are two-way streets and when there's a breech in the road, it impedes from getting the true benefit of the relationship. So, if you really care and want to set some things straight but you're either too afraid or don't know how, this is the time to tune in. Get the courage you need to finally have that conversation, ask that question, and uncover the truth. You know you need to!
