Many people now diversify their savings/investments, through mutual funds (owning a small share of many stocks or bonds). Others diversify with time-tested commodities like gold and silver. Many do both.
Why Buy Gold?
According to goldsilver.com, Gold is the only money that has never failed in the 5,000 year history of its use by humans.
In times of crisis, gold is the safest investment that also has the greatest potential to increase your wealth, according to goldsilver.com
Gold is a completely private and anonymous investment that is also extremely portable, according to the site.
Why Buy Silver?
Silver is a 'miracle metal'. It is second only to oil as the world's most useful commodity.

"It seems that the more the government tries to get involved in “fixing” the economy, the worse it gets. They print money, create regulations that result in artificial bubbles like the housing market, and pick corporate winners and losers. Government bureaucrats should not decide how you or I spend our time and money. If they really want to help the economy improve, they should focus on making regulations predictable and uncomplicated, simplifying the tax code, and letting businesses stand or fail on their own merit. " (Wendy Lynn Day)
Tonight, Wendy Lynn Day (Republican Candidate District 47 MI, House of Repressentatives, MI) will join us in discussing hot bedded isuues of your taxes, common core, jobs healthcare and more.

Join TalkSolar host Beth Bond as she interviews Ralph Velasquez, NewWind out of Nashville, Tennessee about their new way to maximize solar on your roof.
Ralph has been involved in the roofing and building industry since 1978 and renewable technologies since 1999 .In his career, he has re-roofed millions of square feet in the Industrial, Commercial, Institutional and Governmental sectors all over North America. Ralph is one of the industry's early innovators in the green roof industry. He developed the GreenSave calculator, the green roof industry's first financial benefit calculator and was part of the ASTM sub-committee that wrote the first five national ASTM standards for green roofs. He completed the first ever green roof installation on a Presidential Library, with the completion of the William Jefferson Clinton Library in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2008 and an award winning design on the National Institutes of Health, in Bethsesda, MD Involved in distributed solar since 2008, Ralph developed over 3.5 mW of rooftop solar during the throngs of the great recession, from 2008-2010,
From 2010-2012, Ralph was the Executive Director for Sustainability for a global roofing manufacturer, responsible for all policy and strategic sustainability initiatives, world-wide. In late 2012, Ralph, along with his wife, formed Ark Investments to focus on micro investment opportunities in sustainability, in rural and local communities. To date investments have been made in sustainable animal husbandry, music and land development. Earlier this spring, Ralph joined NWES, as the Sr. Director of Business Development to again pursue the idea of rooftop solar, this time with a ROI financial focus.
225 to 201. With five Republicans voting against suing the President for his overreach, the House this evening approved a lawsuit against President Obama for his use of executive order in implementing the "Affordable" Care Act.
Sen. Ted Cruz met with key House Republicans this evening to urge them to oppose Speaker Boehner's plan to stem the flow of illegals at the border. The Senator's huddle is reportedly the latest example of the Senator's involvement in House affairs and serving as an informal whip against the House Leader's immigration bill to be voted on tomorrow.

The Democrats turned Colorado from red to blue and now they’re working on other red states. How did they do it? Regina Thomson tells us how Colorado went from a reliably red state to a hopelessly blue one.
Thomson is President of the Colorado Tea Party as well as President of the Colorado Issues Coalition. The Issues Coalition was formed to be active on state and local issues in Colorado and managed to defeat a statewide tax increase in 2011. They are also fully engaged on gun issues, recall election and matters related to fracking.
