Deb and Tom, from Internet of Unintended Consequences (www.tiouc.com), explore this month's theme of "Digital Citizenship" with Mike Ribble of digitalcitizenship.net. What does it mean? According to Ribble "it is the approrpiate repsonsible use of technology." How does that relate to being a citizen? Or is it that we must expand our traditional ideas of "citizen" to the digital and online world. Join us as we explore the nine elements of digital citizenship and how they apply to each of us. Ready for not driving yourself to work? Or ready for not having work? There are benefits and consequences ot this surge in robotic development - from Roombas to Androids - what is here, what is coming, and how will it impact our society and our work? Tom and Deb from The Internet of Unintended Consequences (www.tiouc.com) interview Dr. Ayanna Howard from the Georgia Institute of Technology, to explore these questions and more - are you ready to interact with robots or we are likely to be replaced by them?
Dr. Ayanna Howard is the Motorola Foundation Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her B.S. in Engineering from Brown University, her M.S.E.E. from the University of Southern California, and her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Her area of research is centered around the concept of humanized intelligence, the process of embedding human cognitive capability into the control path of autonomous systems. This work, which addresses issues of intelligent control as well as aspects of human-robot interaction in real-world environments, has resulted in over 180 peer-reviewed publications in a number of projects – from scientific rover navigation in glacier environments to therapy robots for the home. Her unique accomplishments have been highlighted through a number of awards and articles, including USA Today, Upscale, and TIME Magazine. In 2013, she also founded Zyrobotics, which is currently licensing technology derived from her research and has released their first suite of therapy and educational products for children with special needs. She is currently the Associate Director of Research for the Georgia Tech Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines.
The topic of sin is not popular, but it is necessary. Sinful actions dissolve the souls and hearts of persons. Persons who practice sin may find pleasure therein for a season, but then consequences come to collect the debt. Many have been left hollow, empty, and lost when the consequences of irresponsible behavior come to havoc their lives. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. Jesus is the only one who can free you from spiritual bondage.
There are consequences for all of our decisions and actions. An event you are going through today could be from a decision you made years ago. Our decision could affect us in an hour, later today, next month or next year. Our children or grandchildren may feel it well after we have left this world.
Whatever education we give or don't give to our children has eternal consequences. Whether we take that seriously or ignore doesn't change that very solomn fact.

Throughout the GMO, biotech and agrochemical debates, we have witnessed the ultimate in corporate control and influence along with the disastrous impacts from the implementation of these technologies in our world food supply, pharmaceuticals, and the reckless tampering of DNA for profit-driven purposes. These impacts pose drastic effects to our human health and evolutionary process in a variety of ways. However, there is another critical aspect to the larger picture of which we are not talking enough about: the frightening consequences resulting from the biotech industry that now compromise the delicate balance of our planetary ecology and environment. As the hand of biotech continues to sweep across and outright ignore all reasonable boundaries of ethics and morality in its unquenchable thirst for power and profit, how close are we to the final curtain-call where nature, in its own inevitable wisdom, will protest against us and what cost will future generations have to pay for the mistakes made today?
Amos spoke with daring and heart felt fervor to the people of Yahweh who would surrender the delusion of actions without consequences when faced with an enemy without pity. Spiritual rebellion is the result of a culpable failure to hear the Word of God with a view to obeying its imperative mandates. There are words in the Hebrew that specifically teach the inherent nature of actions and consequences. This is an organic unity or a single fabric. This truth is intrinsic to the nature of the cosmos. This reality is intrinsic to the vibrational harmonics of the universe created by Yahweh.
