Voting Rights Laws Videos
LET ME VOTE
JUSTICE is the constant and perpetual disposition to render every man his due. It is the proper administration of the law; the fair and equitable treatment of all individuals under the law. Justice is also a title given to certain judges, such as federal and state supreme court judges. Justice is 1) fairness, 2) moral rightness, 3) a scheme or system of law in which every person receives his/her/its due from the system, including all rights, both natural and legal. One problem is that attorneys, judges, and legislatures often get caught up more in procedure than in achieving justice for all.
(Read more at http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/justice ).
At "Human Rights Demand," we believe that justice is unlikely to happen where lawmakers and justice officials have a conflict of interest. Demand the resignations of lawmakers, judges, public defenders, prosecutors, Justice Department personnel and everyone else on the public's payroll if they are also PRISON INVESTORS. That is the only way to decriminalize mental illness, eliminate mass incarceration, and restore justice to our courtrooms. Tell public employees to DIVEST OR RESIGN. We must rid our government of everyone whose stock portfolios perform best with mass incarceration, wars, and when environmental concerns are ignored. Ask your congressional representative to introduce a bill that prohibits all lawmakers and other public officials and their spouses from earning prison profits. Pass such a bill, and we will see positive Change in the justice system. Only when prison investors can no longer write laws, represent and prosecute defendants, or preside over criminal cases will any semblance of justice arrive in U.S. courts.
"No man can serve two masters [his constituents and his stock portfolio]: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other" - Matt. 6:24.
Brought to you live from University of Redlands and the debate between Democrat Pete Aguilar and Republican Paul Chabot for the 31st California Congressional District. Aguilar has been endorsed by the Marijuana Policy Project - Chabot earns his living as a professional drug warrior.
This is an epic battle between a progressive Democrat and a right wing Republican in a seat that is being hotly contested by both parties. The debate starts at 7 p.m. but we will interview people coming to the debate.
In addition to live interviews with debate attendees, guests for the show include Jason Elassner from Yucca Valley and the initiative that is now being circulated in this small desert town to rescind the current ban on medical marijuana dispensaries and put in place an ordinance that will license and regulate a limited number. With an election for city council going on right now, the initiative has become a focal point in the election. It's not exactly tearing the town apart, but there are strong opinions on both sides.
OC NORML is sponsoring a 420 Bingo Party for the the Prisoner Project which is dedicated to helping people serving life sentences in prison for marijuana. Cheri Sicard will speak about Paul Free who is serving a LIFE SENTENCE for a nonviolent marijuana offense he did not commit. With arguably the nation's top wrongful conviction attorney interested in his case, he needs $3,000 to get started.
That's what the 420 Bingo Party is going to do - raise that money for Paul. Learn what a 420 Bingo Party is all about and if you are in the neighborhood on Sat. Oct. 25, you can join on in.
Join Joe Enroughty, Jeff Kleb, And Jeffry Sanford for their Monday, October 20th show as they welcome Libertarian Lucas Overby. It all begins at 7 PM Eastern. Lucas is running against Republican David Jolly in Florida's 13th Congressional District and he has been endorsed by the Democratic candidate who dropped out of the race early on. It's an interesting race to be sure. Join us as we also discuss Dave Brat's latest attempts to hide from 7th District voters here in Virginia and much, much more.

Assistance to the Incarcerated Mentally Ill (AIMI), hosted by MaryLovesJustice Neal
Advocacy to end police violence against the mentally ill, end solitary confinement, decriminalize mental illness, remove barriers to timely psychiatric treatment, increase mental hospitals, reinstate insurance coverage for psychiatric hospital inpatients, relax laws blocking involuntary commitment, establish assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) programs that mandate continued psychiatric treatment and provide subsistence assistance (food and housing) for mentally ill people, especially those released from correctional facilities and hospitals. Eliminate incarceration without trials, support crisis intervention team (CIT) training for police and corrections officers. End capital punishment against all people, especially those with brain dysfunctions caused by retardation, drug addiction, and/or mental illness.
We support H.R.3717 "Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act", a congressional bill introduced by Rep. Tim Murphy in December 2013.
Guests include people who did or still do wrestle with mental illness in themselves or close relatives as well as people with specialized knowledge about inmates and defendants with mental illness. Visit "Dog Justice for Mentally Ill" blog at http://DogJusticeforMentallyIll.blogspot.com to learn about AIMI's Complaint against the USA to the International Court in 2015 regarding the need to replace imprisonment, homelessness, and death with treatment and subsistence assistance.

Your intrepid host here at SevsDeadSerious did a little research and found out that more people have died from the flu this year than those who have died from Ebola...yet there's NO flu panic; more young black men have died on the streets of America than have claimed the lives of Ebola victims worldwide, yet not violence panic or gun panic. More women are the product of domestic abuse in this country, but it took a video of Ray Rice cold-cocking his soon-to-be wife till their was outrage. All of the horrific failure of Congress to do anything about anything wants to save the United States from something that has the chance of realizing the "doomday scenario" concocted by Congress as a snowball's chance in HELL...how appropriate hell and Congress in the same sentence. See you at...whenever.
