    Why are people who served time for Crime, still paying the price when freed

    in Music

    I think convicted felons should still have the right to vote because they are still affected by the choices of politicians.Felons are still affected by laws made by politicians. Laws could be made about the court system or anything else that might have an impact on their lives. Since they are still a part of our democratic society, it would be wrong to take away the right to choose the people affecting them.

    If you pay your dues you are like everyone else.

    Yes. If time is served then they have the right. They paid their dues. Just because someone has a felony doesn't make them a bad person, well in some cases it does and they won't get out of prison so they don't count. People make mistakes, you ever heard of wrong place wrong time?

    Some 15 to 20 million people have been arrested on drug charges and subjected to the tender mercies of the criminal justice system in the past two decades. But, thanks to congressional drug warriors, the punishments drug offenders face often extend far beyond the prison walls or the parole officer's office. A number of federal laws ostensibly aimed at reducing drug use block people with drug convictions from gaining access to federal benefits and services. These laws have a disproportionate impact on society's most vulnerable or marginalized members -- the poor, people of color, and women with children -- and in some cases, do not even require that a person actually be convicted of a drug offense to be punished.

  • CJ Paranormal talks to Brian J Cano ( Haunted Collector).

    in Paranormal

    Brian first recognized his desire to explore the unknown at a young age. Growing up in Staten Island, New York, Brian often took note of abandoned buildings recessed within the woods near his home during Sunday drives with his parents. They called to him, sparking his imagination and his curiosity. Alone or with friends, Brian began exploring the old and abandoned buildings, despite the countless rumors of what may have happened within their walls. Tall tales of Satanic activity, missing children or ghostly sightings were often told, but instead of deterring Brian from his new found hobby, this element of fear and danger only served to add to the allure for him. Since then, he's been looking into the darkness and exploring the dangers that come with the decay of civilization's footprint. Expanding his experiences in urban exploration to include paranormal investigation, there are few places he will not go.

    Brian is the Tech Specialist on Haunted Collector, responsible for the implementation and use of all the gadgets and gear. Best known for mixing old and new techniques of investigating, he often finds himself doing the physical tasks, such as crawling under houses and up into attics. He also serves as second in command of the team and helps manage the deployment of the crew itself.

    JONESTOWN-Will Savive

    in Entertainment

    November 18, 1978, was a tragically unprecedented day in U.S. history that will forever be woven into the fabric of this country. It is the day that leader of Peoples Temple (PT), James Warren Jones, ordered the assassination of U.S. Congressman Leo J. Ryan and others at the Port Kaituma airstrip in South America, then led his congregation on what Guyana's police chief, Skip Roberts, testified was a "mass suicide." Decades later, however, the depth of this story is still unknown, and many scholars and former members who have continued their exploration of the incidents have found that there is still plenty of evidence as well as plenty of sinister connections that contradict the official version of this story. Jonestown: "Don't Drink the Kool-Aid" is the chronological story of the rise and fall of Peoples Temple and its leader Jim Jones-from his early years in Indianapolis and California, to the tragic ending in the jungle of South America that claimed the lives of 918 Americans. Jonestown: "Don't Drink the Kool-Aid" comprehensively details the many links that Jones and his compound had with the CIA and their MKULTRA experiments. Through a comprehensive analysis of Jones' life, Peoples Temple, and the investigation and the aftermath of the mass murder/suicides; this book is designed to be the quintessential marking piece that will re-introduce this story to society and serve as a reminder of the infamous mantra that hung in the pavilion in Jonestown: "Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it." The Last Days of Jesus#7: "The Resurrection"

    in Spirituality

    An Investigation into The New Testament Bible

    The Story of Jesus  : THE ASCENSION OF JESUS

    From 3 perspectives

    * The Biblical world viiew

    * The Academic/Scholastic

    * The Urantia Book

    189:2.6.The Christian belief in the resurrection of Jesus has been based on the fact of the "empty tomb." It was indeed a fact that the tomb was empty, but this is not the truth of the resurrection. The tomb was truly empty when the first believers arrived, and this fact, associated with that of the undoubted resurrection of the Master, led to the formulation of a belief which was not true: the teaching that the material and mortal body of Jesus was raised from the grave.

    189:2.7.The tomb of Joseph was empty, not because the body of Jesus had been rehabilitated or resurrected, but because the celestial hosts had been granted their request to afford it a special and unique dissolution, a return of the "dust to dust," without the intervention of the delays of time and without the operation of the ordinary and visible processes of mortal decay and material corruption.

    KTL RADIO presents THE PEOPLE vs FERGUSON, INC. ft Sis Anaidah El

    in News

    Join Know The Ledge Radio for a SPECIAL BROADCAST.

    Our communities our under siege from foreign invasion. These invaders are disguising themselves as "government" but are in fact corporations that are using the "people" as means to make income. In every small municipality or so-call city these crimes are taking place. Due to the federal investigation into Ferguson, Missouri, this unlawful practice has been bust wide open for all to see in plain black and white.

    For the people who have been desparetly looking for some form of redress, or justice from the "system" we will walk the audience thru a step-by-step approach to bringing these municipalities to their knees. The only way the injustices are going to stop against the people, is if the people wake up and fight back. Because you are bound unlawfully, to unbind yourselves it is going to take you creating individual writs and collectively participating in class action suites to cut the cords of your opression.

    If nothing else, this approach is a start, and an effective one at that. In lieu of the 44 page CIVIL action the family of Mike Brown has decided to take against the municipality of Ferguson, MI Sista Anaidah El from the Moorish Heritage and History School will bring forward a tangible solution that you can implement where ever you are to ultimately "slay the dragon." Join us as she details, without a shadow of a doubt, where the crime is taking place and how you can checkmate the entire corporation, state to state, city to city if you would only LISTEN!! And learn some jurisprudence. The power is literally in your hands, and in the case the pen can be mightier than the sword if you use it wisely.

    So, as we always say...BRING your PAD & PEN because CLASS will definitely BE IN SESSION! Tonight the doors to KTL University will be open to the brightest amongst us.
