Topic: An axe-wielding Muslim chopping the head of a New York City cop….A Satanist driving in his car into the Ten Commandments monument in Oklahoma City….A doctor running around New York City with Ebola….How crazier can the news become? Rick delivers a very politically-incorrect news report today. Former CBS news journalist Sharyl Attkisson talks about her book Stonewalled and how the Obama Administration has blocked investigations into its many scandals. Kelly Westlund grew up in a military family and spent much of her life in the southern part of the country. She settled in northern Wisconsin after earning her degree in Peace, Conflict, and Global Studies from Northland College in Ashland.
She went on to work with a local nonprofit organization, the Alliance for Sustainability, where her efforts were focused on sustainable community and economic development.
As a small business owner, Kelly has spent the last three years working with the Bayfield Regional Food Producers Cooperative. Her work focused on building a strong local food system through farm-to-table events, community supported agriculture, wholesale marketing and distribution, and organizational efficiencies. Kelly's work helped area farmers focus on what they do best while building a food system that can support family farms for generations to come.
Kelly was endorsed by the Progressive Change Campaign on the day she announced. Kelly is also a member of the Young Elected Officials Network and the first graduate of Emerge Wisconsin to seek a federal office.
You take charge of the conversation by bringing your concerns and issues to the table. Political candidates, issues, complaints and solutions are always welcomed topics.
