060215 Willie Price-Candidate Niagara Falls NY City Council

    in Politics

In this segment of the Vince Anello show our guest is Niagara Falls city Council candidate Willie Price. We discuss a number of issues. I continue my quest to reach a consensus of opinion  as to what the three major issues facing the city of Niagara Falls are and possible solutions. I ask all candidates the same questions as it  pertains to their own constituency.

Some callers called in to discuss this past winters frozen water supply lines that left over 200 residents without water. In some instances they were without water for 8 to 10 weeks.

We discussed the petitioning process to gather  signatures to qualify for a ballot position in the September primary.

My own personal opinion is that we all should participate in the process and to get involved in all of the 2015 elections.

How long is too long to breastfeed... in public?

Hr2  Yes, everyone CAN run for President, but not everyone SHOULD! Do we really need this many candidates??? At this point, I'm thinking only successful Governors should run for President. No more Senators. We need Executive leadership!

Sec. of State John Kerry's bike accident.

Democrat Congresswoman Rep. Carolyn Maloney thinks requiring gun insurance will reduce gun-related deaths. Silly Dem. Laws don't change behavior of thugs. They're criminals! Anti-gun laws only hurt law-abiding citizens.

Michelle Obama says blacks should always vote Democrat no matter who's on the ballot.

listener calls. Corporate crime vs. street crime.

Hr3  AG Loretta Lynch says schools are the problem causing inner city crime. Oh, you mean the schools whose hands we tied by not allowing them to discipline children?

President Obama says we are a stronger nation now than ever. How are we as a nation stronger now? Our former allies don't even trust us anymore. We have more unemployment, more poverty, and have amassed more debt than every president combined.

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?

The "Status quo" is, well, the status quo; GOP field continues to grow...why?

    in Politics Conservative

Show time: Monday, June 1, 2015 at 8AM-10AM EST

The long vacation is over, but not forgotten. It is now time to jump right back "In the Pickle Barrel". After eleven days, twelve states, over 4300 miles, temperatures ranging from the low 90's to sub zero, rain, floods and snow you better bet it will be a MANIC MONDAY!

No matter how hard I tried, and I truly did, politics kept raising it's ugly head. The more strangers we met, the more "What do you do?'' questions were asked. My wife just rolled her eyes. She knew what was about to happen...political conversation.

Manic Monday is your day. But just in case you are short on topics I am ready to share thoughts of individuals from South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri,Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee. Topics such as the status quo will never change, the new "official" candidates, why the Clintons are untouchable, why the Republicans can't win, and the "Great Southwestern Floods" and more.

Join in the conversations in the live online chat room or call and share your thoughts live on air at 855-236-2486.

Carson's Corner from the 2015 Left Forum.

    in Politics Progressive

Carson's Corner host Bob Carson attended the 2015 Left Forum at John Jay College Friday and Saturday, and he recorded some fantastic audio from some of the key radicals in the fight against imperialism and Capitalism, which are one in the same.

On 5-29, the first panel discussion, Against The Narrative: Independent Media and the Left, hosted by Julianna Forlano, featured Glen Ford of the Black Agenda Report, Eddie Conway, former Black Panther and political prisoner, and Paul Jay of The Real News. We will play audio from this discussion, which includes a discussion of black indepedent media and the need for a media alternative to the corporate dominance.

After this panel discussion, Bob had the opportunity to interview John Dennie, a retired postal worker and activist who is protesting a Staples takeover of our postal service.

Bob also had the opportunity to interview Green Party presidential candidate, Jill Stein. The Election Boycott Advocates have been discussing how ineffective third party candidates have been, considering the very system as constructed by the capitalist class. Bob poses this and other questions to Jill Stein.

On 5-30, Bob attended Why We Focus on U.S. Imperialist Wars, hosted by Sara Flounders, of the International Action Center, and Joe Lombardo of UNAC (United National Antiwar Coalition). Both had brilliant observations about U.S. imperialism.
