Sharon Steele is a single mother of two and a fitness professional with the stated mission of encouraging people to embrace a healthy active lifestyle by offering fun, safe, and effective fitness classes suitable for various ages and abilities. She first learned to ride a bicycle at age 4 and has been riding most of her life. In 2010, she participated in her first Tour de Cure event, riding the 32K in Silcon Valley. She has since ridden in the Napa Tour de Cure twice (50 and 100 miles) and rode in the very first Tour de Cure Women's Series event in Santa Barbara in 2013 completing the 67 mile course. This event catapulted her love for cycling to new heights, converting her into a true roadie and soon to be competitive cyclist.
Sharon does not have diabetes. She descends from a family where type 2 diabetes and its complications are prevalent: mother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. She is of the belief that leading a healthy lifestyle can greatly reduce her risk for developing the disease for which she may be genetically predisposed. Her passion is to reach those communities that are at high risk and inform them of the common complications associated with diabetes and of ways type 2 diabetes can be delayed, managed or even prevented by the lifestyle choices we make. Sharon also has several friends who live with type 1 diabetes. It is her hope that helping to raise awareness about the work of the American Diabetes Association will aid in their gaining access to more resources toward developing a cure.

Formed in the mountains of northern Afghanistan, The Gillis Silo evolved from the friendship of classically trained piano player Ben Vige and life-long Singer/Songwriter Caleb Paul who met in the United States Army and served overseas together in Kabul from 2012-2013. Ben and Caleb called upon accomplished and experienced Baton Rouge musicians Jordan Snyder, Jared Daigle, and Karl Boudreaux upon their return home to carefully construct their alternative rock infused country sound.
Since the band's first performance in January 2014, The Gillis Silo has made waves throughout the U.S. with their own brand of music that fans have dubbed "Country on the Rocks". They have had the privilege of sharing the stage with Florida Georgia Line, Eli Young Band, Trace Adkins, Aaron Lewis, Jana Kramer, and Chris Young, and they have an upcoming concert with Easton Corbin in August.
Their single, She's My Hurricane, is in rotation in major radio markets throughout the South and their debut music video was recently picked up by CMT.
In July 2014, The Gillis Silo performed at Country Explosion in Tooele, Utah. They have played iconic venues throughout the South including The Varsity Theatre, The Howlin' Wolf, The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint, Hard Rock Cafe, and the House of Blues.
Their much anticipated debut EP is set for release late summer 2014.
The Gillis Silo proudly endorses and is sponsored by Pearl Drums, Spector Basses, Warmoth Guitars, and Soxfords.

Chef Elliott is honored to share the technical skills and culinary wisdom of his friend and colleague, Chef Kevin Ashford.
A native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Atlanta, GA, Kevin enjoys the use of fresh ingredients and partaking in local and international cuisines. He also looks for ways to vary food through the use of additional or different ingredients, oftentimes creating a different product. The same principle helped to spur such an array of desserts at Catered Cakes. Some of the company’s signature desserts include the award-winning New Orleans Style Bread Pudding with a Bourbon-Rum Sauce, Tropical Carrot Cake, Chocolate Mousse Torte and the Island Breeze Cheesecake which was featured in the June 2003 and 2003 Year End issues of Southern Living Magazine.

Melissa “MoonChild” Stokes was born in California to a Nicaraguan mother, who sang for popular radio stations in her country. Melissa was raised in Africa and the Middle East. From an early age, MoonChild wrote and published poetry. MoonChild’s musical influences include Celia Cruz, Prince, Armando Manzanero and Sadé. She is a songwriter and sings everything from Latin ballads to Hip Hop tracks and Smooth Jazz and R&B to Electronic Dance. She has performed thousands of people and opened for Smokey Robinson, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr. She performs regularly with Willie Stewart of Third World and his Rhythms of Africa. She absorbed the rich tapestry of music and dance from the world around her: the orchestra of drums deep in the forest throughout the nights in Liberia, and the heart-felt, melodious prayers sung five times a day from the several mosques surrounding her homes in Morocco and Bahrain. After completing two years of pre-med and dance at the University of California, San Diego, MoonChild relocated to the east coast, where she found her voice. She performs at Jazz Festivals, charity events, health fairs, live music lounges and many other venues including the Save the Twinz: Live Pink! Women Who Jam Concert Series. MoonChild released a re-mixed version of her first project, Eclectic Collection I, in 2012, a jazzy, R&B, independent CD, and she is working on a new album.
