Tonight's Topic: Net Neutrality - What it means for you!
Wake Up Everybody! Tonight's episode is "Unity in the Community", a conversation on youth gun violence with guests Sean Pryor, Founder of Guns Down and Andre T. Mitchell, Founder/Executive Director of Man Up! Inc.
It is no secret that there is a crisis of youth gun violence in our communities across this country. On average, 33,000 Americans are killed with guns each year, and the burden of this violence falls disproportionately on young people: 54 percent of people murdered with guns in 2010 were under the age of 30.
What can we do about it? Who should we hold accountable? What are some solutions and strategies to prevent gun violence and the destruction of our communities? How can we become a part of the solution instead of sitting on the sidelines complaining and being only a part of the problem? How do we call for unity in the community on this issue?
The company "Entrepreneur's" show "In-Tune" was designed to help educate and motivate all of its listeners by introducing them to the various community resources within New Jersey. The resources are designed to empower them in every aspect of their lives. From family services, mentoring programs, community organizations, businesses and so much more. It is Entrepreneurs hope that the resources and/or information provided will aid the community in becoming self-sufficient, fiscally responsible and empowered citizens. The program will empower our youth as well to seek entrepreneurial endeavors whether it be by traditional or home based means. Our communities will flourish when our people are educated, illuminated and elevated to accomplish all that has been placed inside of them to make this world a better place to live in.
