    Ms. Barilich’s cases also cover a broad range of disputes involving real estate litigation, including land use disputes, covenants and restrictions, homeowners’ association issues, construction litigation and arbitration, title and boundary claims, commercial and residential real estate foreclosure disputes, commercial and residential landlord-tenant issues, and real estate contract disputes involving specific performance, breach, broker commissions, and other enforcement matters.


    Ms. Barilich is licensed to practice law in California and in Texas, as well as in multiple U.S. District Courts and U.S. Bankruptcy Courts sitting in both States. Ms. Barilich is also an American Arbitration Association arbitrator.


    Susan Barilich was born in South Bend, Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Indiana University, magna cum laude, and her law degree from the University of Houston Law School.

    King Harbor Sea Fair 2015

    Our guest this morning is Julie Coll from the King Harbor Boating Foundation.


    A founder of the King Harbor Boating Foundation, Julie Coll, is currently Chairman of its Board of Directors, in addition to being an active member at King Harbor Yacht Club. As an avid and active participant in sailboat racing with a true passion for the sea, her interest in boating began as a teenager when she raced with her dad. Her love for sail boat racing wasn’t revived until 2006 after she finished raising her two daughters. It was then she became heavily involved with boats and racing, bringing her passion to life when she co-founded the King Harbor Sea Fair, a popular family excursion now in its eighth year. Over the years, Julie has served on the board of directors for the King Harbor Youth Foundation and the King Harbor Yacht Club. She has held many leadership positions within King Harbor Yacht Club and last year founded the Women’s Race Fleet. Due to her deep love and respect for the ocean, Julie champions and mentors new boaters and encourages safe boating practices and marine conservation. For the past 11 years, boating and the sea have been a great inspiration for her creative nature. As a glass artist, she has created magnificent glass art for which she has won many commissions. 


    Sea Fair is a free, family friendly event offering a unique opportunity to prepare for the summer boating season along with several fun and educational activities and this morning and Julie is going to tell us what we can expect at the event which takes place on Sunday, May  17 from 11 to 6 p.m.

    Master Sculptor Sabin Howard on creating realist art

    What does it take to create great figurative art in today's world? Join us as Master Sculptor Sabin Howard talks about the journey of the independent artist.


     


    Sabin Howard grew up in New York City and in Torino, Italy. He studied art at the Philadelphia College of Art and then earned his MFA from the New York Academy of Art. For twenty years, he taught at the graduate and undergraduate levels, before leaving academia to work full-time on his sculptures. He has been elected to the board of the National Sculpture. He has received numerous commissions and has showed his work at more than fifty solo and group shows. After 45,000 hours of working from life models in the studio, he is the creator of three heroic scale pieces, Hermes, Aphrodite, and Apollo, as well as many smaller pieces. His works are owned by museums and private collectors all over the world, and  have been favorably reviewed by The New York Times, American Artist, Fine Arts Connoisseur, American Arts Collector, and The New Criterion, as well as several foreign journals. He is the co-author of the book THE ART OF LIFE with his wife Traci L. Slatton.
