Intersectionality & Diversity in the Tech Industry: Challenge of Silicon Valley

    in Business

This interview is a three-way discussion between the host, Franne McNeal, the author, Dr. Fay Cobb Payton and Dr. Wayne M. Wormley.

Dr. Fay Cobb Payton published a book in 2014 entitled: Leveraging Intersectionality: Seeing and Not Seeing, in which she discussed digital and social inclusion in technology oriented fields. Her work is a reflection of the earlier diversity efforts (from the 80’s and 90’s to the new millennium), to create productive and healthy work environments that naturally attract the best and brightest talent, globally. Here we are in 2015 and we see these efforts have not succeeded, especially in technology oriented/STEM fields.

Guest: Dr. Fay Cobb Payton, Founding Director, MyHealthImpactNetwork, a social network experience that focuses on health disparities and social media technology interventions. @MyHealthImpact provides “voice” for the millennial generation about health, culture and technology innovation topics. www.MyHealthImpactNetwork.org, https://www.linkedin.com/in/drfay, www.twitter.com/MyHealthImpact

Guest: Dr. Wayne M. Wormley, President, The Wormley Company, an extensive network of consultants and trainers, that provides clients with cost-effective solutions to interpersonal and organizational performance and productivity issues, by creating a work environment in which everyone can do their best work and achieve their full potential. www.linkedin.com/pub/wayne-wormley/5/394/575

    Random Sundays: Ventilating the stress

    in Self Help

Almost every Sunday, is the day to relax. While you are recovering from Saturday, you are not looking forward to Monday. Sunday is your only day to vent and unwind. However, there are many people who do not know how to do that and they do not know how to relieve their stress and depression levels. The message I attempt to deliver is how to unwind, how to not let the stress and depression get to you.

The point is that the rich are able to avoid taxes through legal processes. Some mega-rich may use sketchy methods to avoid taxes, and everyone’s definition of sketchy is different. However, most of the mega-rich use superior understanding of the tax laws to take advantage of all of the legal methods available to reduce their taxes.

DERRICK WORSLEY MAN ACTOR BUSINESSMAN ROLE MODEL

    in Radio

Derrick Worsley grew up with a father in the Army, which acclimated him somewhat to the military lifestyle as a child. However, it was never consciously engrained that he would follow in his father’s footsteps, nor did he have an understanding of the sacrifices involved in participating in the military. When his attempts at college proved unfruitful, he found that he felt a calling to join in his father’s legacy and so enlisted in the army.

While in the army, Worsley served tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other foreign countries. It was there that he had to adapt to a variety of cultures. Worsley describes his Army experience as making him “whole” in a way that made him more mature, grounded, and responsible. It was in fact his leaders within the Army that inspired him to continue his education to what eventually constituted a Masters degree. That education was applied to entrepreneurship, which took the form of an online company, DCdiscountOutlet.com, LLC.

As an actor he is a host of DIY Network’s “I Want That” and a recurring role on ABC’s “Nashville.” Tyler Perry’s studio brought him in for “The Have and Havenots” and he’s also done a variety of commercial work with many other projects in the pipeline. Currently, he’s working behind the scenes on Plus Size Diva’s the Musical and Movie and will also portray the character of an arrogant businessman George Lamiry.

Things Are Happening Fast - Open Mic on Saturday

    in Current Events

Look up and see for yourself! The sky is criss-crossed with white, puffy, cloud-like streaks that go in every direction being sprayed by planes.

What are they? Most people imagine they are the condecesion trails left by planes. Really? Then why haven't they looked like this before?

All over the world people are noticiing chemtrails over the cities, towns and the ocean. Asthma, breathing issues, and death have come from the chemicals in these trails. They are poisoning the crops - there is nothing organic anymore. How could there be?

The environment is hurting and the elite have decided they know best how to cool the planet with geo-engineering that will make clouds to ward off the sun. Do you believe that?

    What are commercial pilots saying?

What goes up MUST come down. These chemicals are not going to evaporate. Chemtrails are shocking and the populace doesn't know about it or doesn't seem to care.

Your children could be poisened right now! Pets too! What is in these phony clouds. You will shocked to find out and I hope you call in if you have seen these chemtrails and are not afraid to talk about them and let's collect the evidence.

The New World Order Elite do exist - They have all the money.

The Georgia Stone predicts a fantastic reduction of 500 million people on the planet!

Have you seen the Denver Airport murals and freaky horse with red eyes?

This is no conspiracy - Remember, people who didn't leave Germany in the 1930s did not believe the conspiracy that camps were being built. They turned a blind eye.

Americas Most Unwanted and The People Who Find Them

    in Legal

Our weekly look at the world of the Bail Bond industry. Commercial Bonds seem to be on the endanged species list in several states, prefering instead pre trial realease programs. On paper it sounds great, in practice it is far different. The tax payer foots the bill, the accused person foots the bill by having to pay monthly for his freedom, essentially he or she is on probation, but has yet to have been proved guilty of anything. When the person misses his court date, who looks for him? The answer is nobody. The world of Comercial Bonds is far different, the bondsman make a contract with the accused and the court. It is a one time fee, it does not matter if the bond lasts two weeks, two months, or two years. The tax payer is not involved, In the event that the accussed fails to appear in court the Bond holder has a huge vested interest in locating the person.
