#193 "You're Already Psychic: The Colorful World of Chakras" with Jessica McKay

    in Spirituality

Very often, without meaning to, we absorb other people's energy. This energy can get stuck in our space and lodge in different areas of the body, including our chakras and our aura. When this happens we can feel drained, tired, or anxious. The chakras are powerful energy centers that govern different aspects of your life. I'll discuss how you can clean out, revitalize, and heal your chakras. Jessica will also be offering "chakra readings" to listeners.

  • The Roots of Christmas & Jesus

    in Politics

For most of the Free World, Christmas is a holiday season celebrated more for its shopping, overeating and gift giving than the actual religious significance it once contained.

The season is represented by silver and gold adorned trees, as well as colorful twinkling lights spilling over homes, churches and businesses.

Family and friends exchange gifts, kiss under mistletoe, burn Yule logs and yet, sadly, most people have no idea where the Christmas holiday traditions come from, but they swear that it is all about Jesus.

The Christmas holiday as we know it is really an aggregation of a bunch of mythology and customs that were actually around before the birth of Jesus. And, the actual birth of Jesus has been placed somewhere around September.

Tune in to The Bridge Radio on Sunday as we discuss the Christmas traditions and how they became merged with Christian traditions.

Discuss The Roots of Christmas & Jesus with Host Darryl James and Co-Hosts, Tracy Powell, Marcus Legall III, Dr. John Hamilton & DJ Gates on one of the smartest radio shows on the Internet--The Bridge Radio.

Deepertruth: My Experience At Medjugorie (800 P.M. Central Live)

    in Religion

I had my M-5 video Camera taking pictures along the way. The mountains and the rivers were very colorful.

Sometimes the roads were so narrow that you could almost look straight down from the bus window deep into the gorge.

That was a bit scary. Finally, we made it to our destination. Getting off the bus was great as we looked around the area.

Medjugorie is a small village located up in the mountains about 40 miles past Mostar.

From afar, you could see “Cross Mountain” where the people of the village erected a large cross in 1933 to commemorate the Passion of the Lord.

You can see this far off as you drive towards Medjugorie.

The Church of St. James stood very prominent.

The place was alive with small children playing with old soccer balls, there were local farmers with goats that seemed everywhere.

We were quickly assigned with local families to stay during this pilgrimage. It seemed that the whole region was totally converted.

A.W. Evans Author of Darkness, Scream My Name

    in Books

In a crime ridden neighborhood of Houston, Texas, a woman’s mutilated body is found in a weed choked lot. She will become the eighth victim found within an eighteen month period. Darryl “Dice” Jackson, ex-addict, ex-convict, turned cynical drug counselor, begins to ask questions after a graduate of his drug program goes missing. Using knowledge gained from a life in the gutter, and with help from an eclectic bunch of colorful characters, Dice traverses a sultry city of dirty cops, drug dens, ruthless gangs, and deaf, dumb, and blind streets in an ever more determined search for answers to a growing series of late night disappearances and murders. But our reluctant anti-hero is hiding a deadly past of his own; a past that threatens with each turn, to expose his skeletons and bring his whole world crashing down. When a woman’s body turns up clutching a tiny silver crucifix and missing her eyes, Dice finds himself caught in a desperate race to expose a sick killer working the inner-city streets of the Bayou City before another woman is found mutilated and slain; women whom society have labeled expendable, with no face for the world to see and no voice with which to cry out.
