In this week's edition Tony Abbott hosts a discussion with, Hockey Wilderness staffers, Emilie Wiener, Joe Bouley and Ger Devine about the two playoff losses to the Colorado Avalanche and the upcoming Game 3.
This is a brief edition (we'll probably make up for it with a mid-week episode this week in which we'll get to the mailbag etc.) but features a very important announcement about the future of the blog towards the end. Make sure you stay tuned.

Your always curious host read the NY Times editorial stating that the American people must get stoned or at least have the opportunity to do same. Compare it to the original Prohibition and then to the changes being experienced in Colorado, soon Washingtin when the 1st numbers are in and within the next year, more than likely Oregon and Alaska as it pertains to crime, taxation and incarceration...voila freedom. Best thing that ever happened to Alaska...Sarah Palin mellowing out with a bong. And impeach the President for what...being black, being a Democrat, not being a Republican, having an IQ higher than his she size; get a grip cons.
A weekly look at the 2014 Detroit Tigers, where they stand after each previous week in the regular season, and the predictions of each week ahead.
This week, the Tigers go out west and do battle with the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. I point out the mistakes that the team made in Game 2 of the Arizona series. I also bash umpire Jim Joyce for being a total idiot and Miguel Cabrera for not delivering.
General manager Dave Dombrowski makes the right move acquiring relief pitcher Joakim Soria in a trade for right-handed pitching prospects Jake Thompson and Corey Knebel.
I criticize the fans that are bashing Justin Verlander's girlfriend Kate Upton, who has NOTHING TO DO with his rough season.
I also criticize Rico Beard of Detroit Sports 105.1 about his over-negative whining and crying about the Red Wings getting their new arena and everything else on the air.
The week ahead features the Chicago White Sox and the Colorado Rockies in a 6-game homestand.
Lots of other Tigers news, which are all injury reports, except something that has to do with the MLB Draft.
FanRag Sports host Pat Whitehurst calls on guests and expert analysts to break down each quarterfinal matchup in the World Cup while offering predictions and insight. Despite losing to Belgium, the future of Team USA soccer is very bright. We'll discuss the importance of World Cup experience gained by several young members of the USMNT.
Hockey columnist Franklin Steele will examine the winners and losers of the NHL free agency frenzy while detailing the work that still needs to be done by several teams.

Unbelievable. The prodigal son returns home. LeBron James is taking his talents back to Cleveland. Mike "the Buzz-saw" Asti and George "the Howitzer" Gerbo appreciates all that's asinine more than anybody. Another offseason of waiting and watching what LeBron will do was nothing shy of asinine, maybe even more now than in 2010. The question becomes, has LeBron James turned babyface again? Is heel LeBron dead forever?
While this podcast was recorded priot to LBJ's decision, your favorite sports genius' paint the picture of what LeBron may have had going through his head, a Miami Heat future post mini-dynasty, and the immense pressure that will be on LeBron on his second stint with the Cavs. If LeBron fails to break the curse and win a championship in Cleveland, will his return be for nothing? Will he truly remain beloved by Clevelanders without winning them a title? How does leaving Miami impact the rest of the free agent pool, namely Chris Bosh?
LeBron James isn't the only super-star who had a big decision to make this offseason. Carmelo Anthony is still leaving the Knicks in limbo. What will Carmelo do? What should Carmelo do? What are the factors to Carmelo's destination?
Without question the NBA wins the honors for continued most asinine and crazy offseasons. But the NHL isn't going away without a fight. Jarome Iginla is chasing that elusive Stanley Cup on his third team in as many years. James Neal's act finally ran its course in Pittsburgh. And maybe, most importantly, some incumbent powerhouses are locking up their own. Has the NHL landscape changed?
Now at the All-Star Game, which teams have surprised and disappointed this MLB season? Should we expect any "splash" type trades?
No decision needed. They're champions wherever they go. The Howitzer and Buzz-saw keep on conquering sports radio, one day, at a time....
You’ve heard it - “My wife is crazy, but the courts are so prejudiced against men, she got full custody.” “He was abusing me in front of the children, but the judge didn’t even pay attention to me- he got full custody.” “We have shared custody – how can I ever get him/her to be reasonable when it comes to the decisions about the kids?”
Oh, the horror stories we hear. It seems like men’s groups and women’s groups are becoming more active about the sad state our family courts are in. Anyone who’s been in front of a judge knows the fear, the devastation and the lifelong impact of their decisions regarding divorce and child custody. It seems like everyone is let asking, “What was that judge thinking?”
Now is your chance to find out. Join us Saturday to hear A Colorado family court judge explain how judges think, assess, and make decisions, and what laws they have to consider when making those decisions.
Angela R. Arkin has been a District Court Judge in the 18th Judicial District since 2002. She’s a graduate of Emory Law School, and is licensed in Colorado, Georgia and the District of Columbia. She began her judicial career by serving two years as a District Court Magistrate in Arapahoe County with a domestic and juvenile docket. She is currently handling a 100% domestic docket in Douglas County. Prior to her current assignment, Judge Arkin has served as a District Judge in all four counties in the District, with mixed dockets including criminal, civil, probate, mental health, juvenile and domestic cases.
