The MSOL program utilizes the cohort model. In other words, students enter the program as a unit and remain in that group throughout the two-year program, taking all their classes together. This enables them to get to know one another and consequently to learn from one another. Today Val Faust, Neil Brem, Greg Muha and Sheila Talarico, four members of John's first MSOL cohort numbered Cohort 80, will join the show to talk about the cohort learning experience. As an added bonus, one of those four will announce his new job position and how MSOL played into that new assignment. Listen in and hear what a cohort model does to enhance the MSOL learning experience.
In January, 2014, John welcomed two students from Cohort 92, which at that time was the newest cohort that had begun the MSOL program. The idea was to have those students check in every six months or so to share with listeners how the program is going, what they are learning and any other insights they may have to share. Today John is joined by one of the students from that first show, John Merola, along with two new students who will be first time guests - Steve Creps and Danelle Bunney. Listen in to hear firsthand reports of how the program is impacting their lives and what they are learning.
