Our last show was on 2/16/11. Over two and a half years later, after taking off to write "Jimmy Buffett FAQ," and were back.
What better reason, then to welcome my good friend "the" surfpirate (Bob Haslett) to the Club to talk about his new book "The BN Critters Collection." Over five years and 700+ Comic Strips rolled into a book.
Join us to jump into one of the craziest Parrothead Minds I've ever run into. He's definately a committed fan...or least he should be committed.
Club St. Somewhere Radio is back, and shooting for weekly Postcast starting January 2014. So, here's a sample of what you can look forward too.
Roger Barlett will join Jackson on the phone to talk about Roger's new CD, Manhattan, his new gig as composer for a play and movie Zinzi, and his days on the concert trail with Buffett, opening for Hoytt Axton, and flying out to Boston to open for "the Dawg," Three Dog Night.

St. Roch or Rocco lived c. 1348 – 15/16 August 1376/79, was a Christian saint, a confessor whose death is commemorated on 16 August; he is specially invoked against the plague. He was probably born at Montpellier, France, son of the governor there. He was orphaned when he was twenty. He went on pilgrimage to Rome and devoted himself to caring for the victims of a plague that was ravaging Italy. He became a victim himself at Piacenza but recovered and was reputed to have performed many miracles of healing. He may also be called Rock in English, and has the designation of St. Rollox in Glasgow, Scotland, said to be a corruption of St Roch's Loch. He is a patron Saint of dogs and falsely accused people, among other.

Can we talk? WHY IS FERGUSON HAPPENING? President Obama will not can not run again for president so the candidates are all posturing for their run in 2016. What does that say about their disappearance during these troubled times in St. Louis Missouri. This is so reminiscent of Katrina. Why won't these people stand up for what's right and support this great nations creedo? 'All men are created equal". We don't yet know what happened but we do know another unarmed black male was shot and killed by a white police officer. I'm tired of this America. It's gotta change. We aren't game to be killed at whites whim!
Melissa Harris-Perry put it as plain as day

Can cleaning up a beloved boulevard bring prosperity to impoverished neighborhoods? Melvin White thinks so, and he is starting with a street he knows well -- Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in St. Louis. Beloved Streets of America (BSA) plans to rebuild a downtrodden community and economy along one of the most blighted sections of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in St. Louis. Melvin is making a mark not only in St. Louis, but around the country. A former postal worker, who some refer to as a "maverick", Melvin boldly plans to reverse decades of decline, shuttered businesses, vacant lots and put in gardens and other improvements. A walk is scheduled for August 23 along the MLK Blvd beginning at the Rock Road metrolink at 10am.
