He forged collaborations among physicians at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg and the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, leading to new clinical and translational research spanning both campuses. 

    Dr. Ellen joined the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1999. He was named vice dean for All Children’s Hospital in 2011 and president of All Children’s Hospital in 2012.
