Blessed, Blessed . . . Blessed: The Untold Story of Our Family's Fight to Love Hard, Stay Strong, and Keep the Faith When Life Can't Be Fixed
Missy Robertson knew that marrying duck-hunting family man Jase Robertson would be an adventure . . . and she was up to the challenge. Their life together was good (even after Jase grew the beard). They had two children, worked hard to help build the thriving Duck Commander business, and loved and served God.
But after a difficult and risky pregnancy, their daughter, Mia, was born with a cleft palate?a serious condition requiring multiple cranial and facial surgeries. As their baby struggled to breathe, and Missy and Jase faced a life that suddenly looked very different than the one they’d planned, they found themselves staring down one of life’s biggest questions: Where is God in all this pain?
This is the Robertsons’ story. It’s for anyone scared and overwhelmed by a problem they can’t fix; anyone lost and searching for a way through. You’ll meet the young girl Mia who captured A&E’s Duck Dynasty viewers’ hearts, and learn how Missy and Jase have raised her and their sons to be faithful, confident, and secure in who they are. You’ll be inspired by how the Robertson family stuck by each other through the hardest times. And you’ll discover that God’s blessings are bigger than you ever dreamed?and there when you need them the most.
THE NDUSTRY PRESENTS ONE OF THE EAST COAST'S MOST PHENOMENAL CHEFS, CELEBRITY CHEF KEVIN WINSTON II! Growing up working his my family’s renowned Kansas City BBQ restaurant, Chef Kevin Winton II has always felt most at home in the kitchen. For him, it has always been a place that represented passion, creative freedom and family.
In 2009, he took a leap of faith and enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, California to pursue his dream of studying culinary arts. It was during this time that he developed his signature style, combining classical culinary training with his downhome upbringing to create nourishing, satisfying food packed with flavor.
He was blessed to work alongside some of this generation’s most well respected chefs, including Emeril Lagasse and Wolfgang Puck – a thriving community he loves and the place, he, his wife and two young sons, currently call home. These experiences, paired with filling every role from slinging fast-paced orders on the line to overseeing the entire operation as Chef de Cuisine at restaurants from coast to coast, have refined his skills and palate while allowing me to collect new, exciting flavors and techniques to add to my repertoire.
Today, he offers Charlotte, North Carolina's most comprehensive personal chef placement services and am privileged to call myself Personal Chef to pop superstars and professional athletes, including Thomas Davis of the Carolina Panthers and Lance Stephenson of the LA Clippers. Catering tours for recording artists Justin Bieber, Chris Daughtry and Mindless Behavior have been career highlights for him. It is a true honor for him to be invited into the homes of people like Brendan Haywood of the Cleveland Cavaliers and former NBA player and current Phoenix Suns Assistant Coach, Earl Watson, to cook for them.

So.... It starts. The rebuilding process has been started, finally from the right place. I have shared before, a chef can have all the ingredients for a perfect gourmet meal but, if he can’t cook, it’s a waste! That about summed up the Miami Dolphins through last Sunday's debacle in London. The best DT in football, top tier DE's and pro-bowl DB's and a center that has been to Hawaii a few times as well.... borderline greatness ready to bloom at QB and receivers.... but no "chef" to mix the ingredients correctly to serve that perfect meal.
So... OUT WITH THE OLD & IN WITH THE NEW... Let’s see if this new chef (coach) has a better palate for flavor and can "mix it up" better than the last. Although the resume' has 6 years of coaching and 11 years as a player, there is little to no experience running a team. Not only will he need to earn respect from the players, he has an entire coaching staff full of pride, wisdom, experience and age to either help Mr. Campbell or bring him down. Does he make changes to surround himself with folks that to enable his will be done? Does he teach the teachers? Is he merely a motivator until another replaces him - as soon as that becomes available?
Let’s talk about these things and more on Thursday’s show! You're invited to call and listen in, or speak your mind (516) 453-9433 at 6:30 EST... Last week former center for the Miami Dolphins John Bock gave us a call and shared his wonderful insight on things as only an insider can... Who knows who will call in this week.. Seeya then!!

We have gone over some basics about synapses, and how info travels across the synaptic cleft. We now take an in-depth look at the different kinds of memory: procedural and declarative, and their sub-divisions. Procedural memory is made of skills and priming. Tune in to figure out what the heck they are! Declarative memory is made up of semantic memory (anything you read or write) and episodic memory (autobiographical reference, sorta). Plus we go into a whole lot more!
