The holidays are coming up and Corporations are going to inundate us with advertising to buy their wares. But what do the corporations really do for us, besides selling us something we need or want? Where do the profits go? Do they pay their fair share of taxes? Our communities are suffering from cutbacks to our police and fire departments. Our schools…well let’s not even go there. We know they need help and funds to educate our young folks.
Meanwhile, some corporations as Rep George Miller put it…”They are renouncing their corporate citizenship to take advantage of tax havens in Ireland, Panama, Switzerland or the Cayman Islands. They’re turning Uncle Sam into Uncle Sucker.” Don’t they have a moral responsibility to support the communities in which they market their goods? They are even shipping our jobs overseas. Are we not supposed to be equal partners in the American Dream?
Join me and my special guest Kevin L. Nichols of the KLN Consulting Group, “Leading the legal Industry in Litigation, Diversity, & Business Development/Social Media Consulting”. He is also an officer in the Bay Area Black Professionals.
Obviously we are not talking about all corporations. But here is a thought. If the large corporations are leaving a vacuum in services and community involvement doesn’t that leave an opening for home grown businesses no matter their structure? We will take a look at Corporations and the American Consumer on this show. This is where you get real news and information. Join us.
Inside the War Nest is where you must be the day before the BIG match-up versus the Dallas Cowboys with Jim Williams & "Frat House Mike" McShane talking "turkey" about the most important game of 2014 for our Philadelphia Eagles.
First, they look at last week's 43-24 "that's a gimme -- pick it up" win against the Titans. Ahhh, but was it? Mark Sanchez was "strictly" OK - he's still turning the ball over. If felt like Darren Sproles was part of the game, but was he? Defense let up a lot of yards & the Titans rookie QB threw against them for 345. How confident are you going into Dallas?
Jim & Mike welcome special guest Jordan Ross from www.CowboysHQ.com to look at this game as politely and sportsmanlike as possible. These two match-up well both offensively & defensively. but is DeMarco Murray being overused? - can Mark Sanchez play well on the road? - Tony Romo has been pretty darn good this season (ahem . . . #2 in QB Rating)!
THIS doesn't look good for the Eagles . . yet "da' Boys" are only favored by 3! What's THAT telling you?
Plus, could Maclin be the biggest threat to the Cowboys & Riley Cooper is mouthing off about Jeremy Maclin? Are you kidding?
Join the Arm Chair General's of Inside The War Nest, Jim & Mike as they debate & engage the hottest Eagles topics AND, take your calls at 347 - 826 - 9964.

My intention is to connect those of us who have lost our mothers, our fathers or both parents, at any age, through the arts, life experiments, looking inward and turning pain into something positive.

Did Bill Cosby pay off women? Some members of the press who covered Bill Cosby over the past 40 years are now issuing mea culpas, saying they failed to follow up on the many accusations leveled at the comedy legend over the years.
Bill Cosby’s official biographer Mark Whitaker says he was wrong in not addressing the numerous allegations of sexual assault leveled against the comedian. Whitaker’s admission comes on the heels of New York Times columnist David Carr taking to task a number of writers – himself included - for turning a blind eye to the claims.
“We all have our excuses, but in ignoring these claims, we let down the women who were brave enough to speak out publicly against a powerful entertainer,” Carr wrote. “Mr. Whitaker has said he didn’t want to put anything in the book, which he wrote with Mr. Cosby’s cooperation, that wasn’t confirmed — which of course raises the question of why he wouldn’t have done the work to knock down the accusations or make them stand up.”
As with every disappointment, we have a decision to make when trouble or disaster strikes. How will we respond? The first part of responding correctly when life doesn't make sense is keeping our focus on God. When disasters strike, we feel like children at God's feet, tugging at his coat with the question, "Why?" It is human nature for us to want to understand each significant event in our lives. We feel that if we could just grab hold of a reason for each painful event then we could make it through to the other side. However, If we always have to have a reason for things, we will be tempted to rely on ourselves during our pain rather than turning to God. We are not meant to understand; we are meant to trust.

This is my small way of saying thank you for all that they do in service of our country.”
Nick Palmisciano, spent the best and hardest part of his life as an Infantry officer. After leaving the military, Nick founded RANGER UP, a VETERAN owned military, patriotic and MMA apparel company that is doing so much more.
