Join hosts Tom & Lou Riddell as they welcome co-authors CK Webb & DJ Weaver to The Writers Lounge. Sit back and relax as CK & DJ discuss what it's like to be writers and they will also talk to us about their newly released book: Collecting Innocents- which is book 2 in the 911 Abduction Series.
CK and DJ are quite the writing duo. Their first book Cruelty to Innocents has received 25 reviews on Amazon.com- 22 of those reviews gave the book 5 stars. CK and DJ are best friends from a small town but they are also mother and daughter and they will continue writing thrillers- and killing people; as long as there is an audience for it. From Collecting Innocents: Highway travel can be lonely and treacherous. Broken down vehicles litter the Emergency Lane like corpses on a battlefield. What if you were alone with no one to call when you found yourself stranded? Your only companion; your small child sleeping in the back seat. What would you do? On I-10 in Louisiana the answer is simple…you use the Emergency Call Box. But while you sigh a breath of relief in the knowledge that help is on it’s way, a much more sinister listener has heard your 911 call.
Skeleton Trail: A Riverview Mystery:
Bethany and Roger Meadows plan for a bright future, a guest camp and pack station that will cater to horse owners and adventure campers. The campgrounds, cabins, stables, and pavilion are ready, but there are no trails for the guests to explore.
Bethany and Megan venture into the woods to mark a trail, but a frightening accident brings her face to skull with a mummified corpse. She sends Megan and Kam out to guide FBI Forensic specialist David Harrison to the location of the body. After Megan leaves, an unknown shooter attempts to keep the murder a mystery.
Agent David Harrison finds when the bullets start flying Kam leads him to an abandoned cabin where they wait out the storm and the shooter. He discovers he wants to explore their shared heritage, in private.
With the evidence they uncovered in the cabin and the corpse itself, the mystery unfolds and the connections to current day become clearer. Crimes of the distant past link to crimes of the closer past and even to crimes of the present; blackmail, extortion, arson, and murder attempts link the body and some of the current residents of Riverview. David and Kam work with Megan and Aaron to uncover connections and reveal what occurred so long ago and how it might affect people in the town today.
David and Kam grow closer with each new danger, coming to appreciate the similarities in their pasts and the differences that draw them to each other. Once all the mysteries are solved, can they find a way to become a lasting couple, or will her past interfere with their future?

Neill, a war correspondent on a secret mission for Britain’s MI6 intelligence agency, is trying to find Mohammed, a Hezbollah terrorist leader who may be willing to stop the slaughter and destruction.
André, a French commando, is also looking for Mohammed, to kill him in revenge for the death of his brother, blown up with over 400 US Marines and French paratroopers by Hezbollah. For Rosa, a remorseless and passionate Palestinian guerrilla, Mohammed is one of the few hopes left for her people, and she will give her life to protect him. And for lovely Anne-Marie, André is the only one who can rescue her from Hell.
Based on Bond’s own experiences in Lebanon, Syria and the Middle East, Holy War has been praised for its portrayal of battle and its journalistic and political realism, and for its evocative descriptions of men and women caught in a deadly crossfire.

A stark look at Vietnam Veterans, the War and how We let Them down. This is a Call To Duty for everyone to thank your Veterans today, and a reminder to the media and politicians to value every soldier as if they were their own sons and daughters. Without a nation's support, soldiers cannot survive.

"Dusty" Earl Trimmer came down to see me in Columbus, Ohio in March 1968, just a couple days before he was scheduled to leave for Vietnam. I was at Ohio State University and living in the Delta Chi Fraternity House. At the time I thought that I was a little something just because I was pledge class president and a member of the Ohio State wrestling team...that was before I received letters from Nam, from Dusty...before he earned his many military medals/accolades. Then I saw how small I was in comparison...and how small some of my buddy All-Americans at other universities were in comparison to what Dusty and his Nam-mates were doing. I have known "Dusty" Earl Trimmer, who is the author of Condemned Property? Soldiers of the Vietnam War for over forty years. If I could only use three words to describe him, they would be: passionate, fearless, and straightforward. This description and more is why I recommend his book as "must reading" for anyone...veteran and non-veteran alike that wants greater insights into the truths about the Vietnam War, it's devastating aftermath, and how combat soldiers and those who love them are coping with both...today. I have read it twice. It will move you, teach you, motivate you and it may change you because you read it.
