    Don't Call Me Baby's Mama

    in Parents

We all know that the terms "baby's mama" & "baby's daddy" are not known to be very positive when describing your co parent. These terms or phrases are stereotyped with ghetto, lazy, deadbeat, unimportant, etc. These are definitely not something a decent parent would want to be associated with. Still all the time we constantly hear one another use this term. How can we as parents communicate and co-parent hearing one another use these terms negatively. Is is possible in our society?

Be The Change People, Entrepreneurs, Managers, CEOs, Politicians

    in Jobs

Everyone has an idea about why the economy is not where it should be. Everyone don't have a solution to what needs to be done for the economy they want. Everyone must put on their listening ears and determine how to be part of the solution of the change that is needed America. Jobless citizens and low income citizens are the largest groups of Americans. Resources to improve America are available. The missing element is your desire to do the work. Time for jobless and low income to work toward happy days in America. Be the change you seek America. Jobless and low income you are missing in this booming economy. When I hear people say the economy is not better, I think that person is isolated in some place, shut up tightly, not letting the sunshine in.

LIVE! with Cathi---For the LOVE of Pets!

    in Fitness

From the mouth of a PET...

Hi there, three years ago, I became someone's pet, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me!

I love having human beings in my life.  I'm cared for beyond my wildest dreams...food...shelter and lots of love and affection.  I know having an owner is great but I wondered, "is owning a pet as great for people."  I asked around and found owing a pet can be a great thing!

Pets are good company.  A cat or dog have been know to fill an empty nest when kids go off to college.  No matter the weather, my owner has to get out of the house to walk me, great exercise.

Did you know pets are good for your health...pets can lower blood pressure.  Pets are perennial playmates.  Permanent play dates for only children and for teens who are stingy with hugs for their parents, a pet is the perfect object of affection for cuddling.

Money will buy a fine dog, but only LOVE will make him wag his tail!

    STAY TUNED...

    Pets and responsibility...etc.

    Pets are entertaining...etc.

Pets are a great way to meet...etc.

    Rescue a dog-cat from a shelter...etc.

    Best reason of all...LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY...etc.

022615 The Vince Anello Show - Open Mic

    in Politics

The frozen pipe issue is becoming a very hot item. For me it's starting to hit close to home because my neighbors waterlines froze up. My sister is without water and Grand Ave and Pine Ave are having problems.

At the coffee shop people just can't seem to figure out why a plan was not in place to address these issues

Not all frozen pipes can be attributed to recent road construction even if you consider the last decade. Neither the City nor the Water Board are in a position to assume responsibility or liability for all cold weather related water problems.

Some of the stories that I'm hearing, some related to price gouging, make me wonder why our city government and the Water Board haven't come up with a plan that not only addresses the issue but protects the consumer.

The Water Board should provide a list of competent, proven contractors with a set price. The first attempt should be without digging. It can be done by competent  people that know what they are doing.

People are talking about the proposed dog park at former 39th Street School site.

The Niagara Falls City Council is taking as survey to evaluate residents priorities.
