It's a blip on the radar in the grand scheme of things, but much fanfare greeted the recent "yes" vote in the Irish referendum on gay marriage. It was proclaimed an "historic watershed" and "marked a milestone in Ireland’s journey towards a more liberal, secular society". The vote was "almost like a social revolution that makes us a beacon of equality and liberty for the rest of the world" according to Irish health minister Leo Varadkar, who is gay. British tycoon Richard Branson was delighted to "see the people of Ireland voting to live in a country where everybody is treated equally."
Meanwhile, violent, sexual abusers of children are still protected by the Irish state. Irish schoolchildren are still taught lies about their own history, Irish politicians and bankers get away with massive theft of state resources that have impoverished thousands, while Irish police are ordered to beat Irish citizens who protest the privatization of Irish water on the orders of international financiers.
We'll also be discussing latest events around the world, mostly involving death, suffering and chaos.

TheAngryindian speaks with US Psychotherapist and Prisoner Rights Advocate George C. Mallinckrodt, author of 'Getting Away With Murder: A True Story' (2014) based on the tragic and violent death of Darren Rainey, a mentally-challenged state of Florida prison inmate who was literally 'cooked to death' while in custody as a punishment by vindictive correctional guards. They discuss the unconscionable lack of basic human rights and due process accorded to the incarcerated and the absurd levels of routine violence and horrible death-by-officer cases faced by the mentally ill and other vulnerable populations within the largest prison-complex in the world.

Johnny Strozier was a Georgia prisoner for 46 years (from 1968 to 2013) and served about 15 of those years in solitary confinement. Call-in to speak on air at 347.857.3293. Strozier was initially arrested at age 6, when he and friends burglarized an Atlanta warehouse to steal cigarettes for family members and candy for themselves. He was first imprisoned at age 10. His sentence was lengthened numerous times due to his lack of cooperation with juvenile detention rules. Later, his sentence was lengthened to 90 years after assaulting a prison guard.
Strozier's warden told him he would never exit prison alive because he often escaped and was involved in gang activity, but Strozier changed. He became a Christian in the 1980s. Strozier became active in church, married, and gained his high school diploma while still incarcerated. He also became a certified cook and brick mason. Since prison release, Strozier works, counsels youths, and faithfully attends church. Strozier has been presented to speak at prestigious engagements before college student bodies, civil rights officials, and church congregations. In fact, Strozier assembled a group of churches and individuals to help other released inmates find subsistence assistance, encouragement, and a spiritual family.
Strozier will share information about reentry opportunities, the importance of avoiding behavior that leads to incarceration, and he plans interviews with persons who can share valuable information that will improve lives of former inmates and at-risk youths. Phone Strozier at 678.516.4993.

Sometimes non-immigrant may commit certain crimes, misrepresentation and/or other acts that make him/her inadmissible to the United States and are seeking an immigrant visa, adjustment of status, certain nonimmigrant statuses or certain other immigration benefits; you must seek a waiver of certain grounds of inadmissibility. Most requests for a waiver are made on Form I-601.
Certain immediate relatives of U.S. Citizens may use this form to request a provisional unlawful presence waiver under Immigration and Nationality Act Section 212 (a)(9)(B) and 8 CFR 212.7(e), before departing the United States to appear at a U.S. Embassy or consulate for an immigrant visa interview. This request for a waiver is made on Form I-601A.
Sometimes an immigration attorney may file a motion requesting that an immigration judge grant a waiver to a respondent. Forms are obtained at www.uscis.gov .
Some waivers require that respondent to have a qualifying relative. A qualifying relative means a spouse, parent, or child who a lawful permanent is resident (LPR) or a United States citizen (USC).
The respondent sometimes has to show that if (s)he had to leave the US permanently, it would work a hardship on the LPR or the USC.

http://www.hhs.gov/healthcare/rights/A Fight over Health Care is Occurin all over the United States but in Tennesse Heroes are fighting Back. Pamela Weston, Randall Rice and his wife retired therpist Meryl Rice were determined not to let their neighbors go uninsured. Learn how they launched a campaign for ACA.Pamela Weston is a grandmother in East TN who organized a 70 mile walk through her state senate district to reach out to those in the healthcare coverage gap resulting from Tennessee's decision not to expand Medicaid. Her Insure TN Journey for Justice crossed a rural senate district through five counties in an effort to reach out to the district's nearly 15,000 uninsured adults. Meryl Rice is a retired psychotherapist whose last position was as the Director of Crisis Services for a mental health agency which covers five rural counties in West TN. She also has many years experience in the healthcare field working in med-surg hospitals . Her 40 year experience has made her acutely aware of how access to affordable healthcare affects not only individuals and families, but the community at large. After retirement, Meryl and her husband Randall Rice took it upon themselves to promote the Affordable Care Act and initially trained to be navigators/certified application counselors. When there were no "sponsoring agencies" near them willing to take on the responsibility of volunteers, they decided to launch out on their own. However, they hit another roadblock.
