The Cincinnati native holds a Masters in Psychology from San Diego State University. Tyra has been a teacher and principal, whose belief in the ability of children to rise above their bleak surroundings helped to turn around an entire school. She has been a psychologist, helping tormented individuals find their way to peace. She has worked in county government, crafting messages for the community and using her marketing skills to research and hone the communications and government services for the public.
For Tyra Garlington, there have been many obstacles. She has suffered abuse, loss and cancer and she stood her ground against each one, calling on her unlimited faith and her belief that God has a reason. Tyra Garlington turned her internal pains into talks that would help others who faced insurmountable odds. She is drawn to charitable organizations that tackle domestic violence, homelessness and children who live in worlds they cannot control.
Tyra’s invites you to get to know her better in her most recent memoir, The Memory Box, a true story about the power and provision of God’s grace.
Deb DeRousse and Jonathan Lento are excited to talk with Sharon Coyle-Farley, owner of the very famed, and haunted, Rolling Hills Asylum. Listen in to get the truth about Rolling Hills Asylum straight from the owner herself.
[Sharon at RHA] In June 2008 I came to Rolling Hills Asylum as part of a Darkness Radio event and had three amazing nights of activity, including meeting Roy Crouse, the 7+ foot Shadow man, and captured some outstanding evidence. Returning to California I continued on with my teams, however, I would constantly review my evidence from RHA. When I received a call in the spring of 2009 that RHA was closing forever, I was shocked. One thing led to another and on the day before my birthday in October 2009, Rolling Hills Asylum became my new home.
Professionally, I have over 20 years as a location manager/associate producer in film production (commercial, television, film), and over 15 years experience in sales & marketing for OEM trade shows and special events, with a brief stint working with both United Way and The March of Dimes.
