Welcome Dorie Greenspan! Inducted into the James Beard Foundation Who’s Who of Food and Beverage, DORIE GREENSPAN was tapped by Julia Child to write Baking with Julia. She coauthored Desserts by Pierre Hermé, which won an IACP award. Her Around My French Table was an IACP Cookbook of the Year, and Baking: From My Home to Yours won a James Beard Award.
Baking Chez Moi: Recipes from My Paris Home to Your Home Anywhere by Dorie Greenspan With her groundbreaking bestseller Around My French Table, Dorie Greenspan changed the way we view French food. Now, in Baking Chez Moi, she explores the fascinating world of French desserts, bringing together a charmingly uncomplicated mix of contemporary recipes, including original creations based on traditional and regional specialties and drawing on seasonal ingredients, market visits, and her travels throughout the country.
Like the surprisingly easy chocolate loaf cake speckled with cubes of dark chocolate that have been melted, salted, and frozen, which she adapted from a French chef’s recipe, or the boozy, slow-roasted pineapple, a five-ingredient cinch that she got from her hairdresser, these recipes show the French knack for elegant simplicity. In fact, many are so radically easy that they defy our preconceptions: crackle-topped cream puffs, which are all the rage in Paris; custardy apple squares from Normandy; and an unbaked confection of corn flakes, dried cherries, almonds, and coconut that nearly every French woman knows.
Whether it’s classic lemon-glazed madeleines, a silky caramel tart, or "Les Whoopie Pies," Dorie puts her own creative spin on each dish, guiding us with the friendly, reassuring directions that have won her legions of ardent fans.
Well, you asked for it. Bet you're regretting it now aren't you? Mad Mike and Bitchy Mitchy return once again for another episode of insanity and just plain ol' comedic nonsense. You have to realize something, you asked for this!!!!! So now we're the MRNN, Middle-of-the-Road News Network, BM say's it's because we swing both ways. NO NO NO, now wait a minute, NOT like that!!!! We take political correctness and shove it in your face, no matter what side of the aisle you reside on. We don't take on whiners, or complainers, tea baggers or liberals. We're just as likely to call you on the carpet for being something less than educated, regardless. So cinch up those bootstraps and climb into the saddle buccaneers, Mad Mike will try, and we emphasize try, to convey his juggernaut thoughts across the airwaves, God bless his lil' ol' pea pickin' heart. If that isn't enough to convince you, then we're sure ol' Bitchy Mitchy will light up the airwaves with some of his zany thoughts about the world in which we live. You KNOW he'll have some commentating of his own. Yes, we said commentating.
Join us Sunday evening the 27th at 7 pm. We promise you might actually live long enough to regret it!!!!
The Cinch Diet Inch-Loss Plan
The Cinch Diet Inch-Loss Plan addresses one of the primary reasons why most diets fail and provides you the tools you need to lose quality weight from fat, not muscle. It's not another fad diet program. It's been specifically designed to help you successfully reach your desirable body weight while preserving your lean body mass (muscle)*.
To help you preserve lean body mass*, the Cinch Diet Inch Loss Plan provides products powered by leucine. What's leucine? It's an essential amino acid and a member of the branched chained amino acid family that also includes isoleucine, and valine. The body uses amino acids to make proteins. However recent scientific research indicates that leucine may play a special role in weight loss. That's because once absorbed from the protein foods you eat, leucine travels directly to muscle tissue where it acts as a signal for protein synthesis. This increase in protein synthesis serves to offset the increase in protein breakdown that naturally occurs as a result of calorie restriction or dieting.
As a result, leucine helps your body preserve muscle mass while you lose weight from fat*. Holding on to your muscle mass while you lose weight also helps protect you from the drop in metabolic rate that typically occurs with most diets. And keeping your metabolic rate from dropping can help you break the cycle of perpetual dieting.
The Cinch Diet Inch-Loss Plan also addresses the physical and emotional challenges that come along with your weight control efforts. Our innovative products provide ingredients to help control your hunger, boost your energy level, and keep you feeling satisfied so you don't feel deprived.
