BOB DARBY, ADVOCATE FOR THE HOMELESS - Thursdays, 3:00 p.m. EST ~ War on Homeless People in USA - Darby has been an advocate for the homeless for more than twenty years. Please call to speak on air at (347) 857-3293 for all broadcasts. He has a B.A. in psychology from Emory University. Darby also studied in psychology and theology in graduate school. He is a former employee of Georgia Regional Hospital, Boston State Hospital, and New Hampshire's Hanover-Darthmouth Hospital. In 1994, he co-founded Atlanta Food Not Bombs. Darby is a writer and public speaker, who bravely covers subjects such as eugenics and the homeless. He also exposes how drug trafficking by U.S. officials contributes to homelessness, imprisonment and deaths of marginalized people. LAPD killed a homeless, mentally ill black man days ago. See the video http://youtu.be/YO0FG4-tMe8
Darby asserts drug additions that lead to homelessness were partly facilitated by the CIA, which began trafficking herion, crack and other drugs into America years ago, sometimes inside the corpses of deceased American soldiers. He cites documented proof from government records and books by respected journalists. Bob also asserts that people with serious mental illness are deliberately rendered homeless in the United States of America and deprived of psychiatric and medical health care services.
Voters should petition elected officials to improve treatment and subsistence assistance for mentally ill people and those with substance abuse issues. Please use this link to contact your elected officials:

Thank you for tuning in to Happiness Index. Our conversation is on the joy and happiness that come from listening to or playing music. Does the explicit attempt to be happier facilitate or obstruct the actual experience of happiness? We will be sharing with you the results of two experiments that explored the positive impact of music as a happiness-inducing activity. We will also share how these studies demonstrated that listening to positive music might be an effective way to improve happiness, particularly when it is combined with an intention to become happier. Thank you in advance for tuning in and turning on to happiness by listening to Happiness Index. You can share your wisdom on this topic by calling (347) 539-5818.
Some dreams feel so revelatory—if only returning to sleep would take us back there. It turns out, however, that our ability to shape our dreams is better than mere chance. In the blockbuster movie Inception, Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his compatriots use drugs and psychological profiles to trigger specific dreams in people. Although the heavy sedation and level of detail incited are far-fetched, dream control isn't entirely a Hollywood fantasy.
Techniques to control, or at least influence, our dreams have been shown to work in sleep experiments. We can strategize to dream about a particular subject, solve a problem or end a recurring nightmare. With practice we can also increase our chances of having a lucid dream, the sort of "dream within a dream" that Inception's characters regularly slip into.
The ability to influence other people's sleep worlds is still crude. But emerging technologies raise the prospect that, at the very least, we'll get an idea of what others are dreaming about in real time.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan wants to fight Heroin. He has quite a bit of work to do. That heroin is simply flooding out of Afghanistan daily. In fact, this is the biggest drug epidemic America has seen since the 1980's cocaine/crack epidemic while the CIA was helping those Contras down there in South America where the cocaine is grown from the coca plant then processes for delivery to America by the plane load. That crack scourge rivaled the old heroin epidemic in the 1960's and 1970's when the drug mostly came from Southeast Asia where by coincidence America just happened to be fighting a war with Vietnam keeping the world free from the communists playing dominoes or something like that if I recall correctly.
Here's an idea. Now I don't want to tell the generals how to fight their wars and such but every place our military fights that happens to produce illegal drugs ends up flooding those drugs into our country. My humble suggestion is if you want to fight a drug war wouldn't it be better to do it right where you already have our military? I noticed on FOX Geraldo did a story about our GI's protecting the poppy crop so those Taliban don't get at it. It worked too because it all turned up on the streets of America where we hardly have any of those Taliban.
Now if we could only find out who snatched the tons of refined product when the military obviously must have been preoccupied fighting the Taliban. Then we could really put a stop to this latest heroin outbreak. Maybe you might share this broadcast so that it could make it's way to the military leaders who obviously haven't noticed that right where they are always are fighting, narcotics are found as well then they find their way to America somehow.
Maybe Blogtalk will permit this broadcast.
In Part 2 of a special four day series exposing the dangers of Islam, Rick shares recent warnings from former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani; Rick then revisits the links between the CIA, Nazism and The Muslim Brotherhood with guests Ian Johnson and John Loftus.
Taken with gratitude from Unwelcome Guests #703 We begin with the soundtrack of a short RT interview of Mark Crispin Miller about Project Censored's "forbidden bookshelf" project of republishing in electronic form books which the authorities have tried to suppress. He introduces his the first 5 books, starting with Douglas Valentine's The Phoenix Program: America’s Use of Terror in Vietnam, echoing ideas from episode 693. Our next piece is an interview of Professor Alfred McCoy by Jeff Blankfort. McCoy explains the extent of the surveillance systems currently underway, which far exceeds the Snowden disclosures. Our second hour concludes with a short interview of Naomi Wolf, author of The End of America, who slightly softens her skepticism of Snowden's whistleblower status. However, Wolf reminds us that there has been minimal independent verification of his story, and the commercially-controlled media of western 'democracies' continues to trumpet his 'revelations', ... Next we hear a panel discussion of Heidi Boghosian, the author of "Spying on Democracy", followed by a customarily outspoken Chris Hedges who provides a personal reflection on the psychology of the super-rich, drawing from his experience as a student from a lower working class background who attended a school for the upper class. To underline the implications of Hedges' discussion of an unaccountable and amoral power, we present a radio adaptation of "The Strange Case of Phillip Marshall", a video broadcast on PressTV, f ... We conclude this week with a historical parallel from Heidi Boghosian, who notes that public outrage about mass surveillance was sufficient to force the US executive to desist ... but not permanently. Thanks to TUC Radio for the Alfred McCoy interview.

"The Mad Scientist of Sports" Nick Ficorelli returns. However, this is not the average everyday sports show he is bringing back to the air waves. "The Mad Scientist" has created his own personal sports lab, and you, the audience, as well as many of his special guests, will be his test subjects. He will throw theories out, and you never know where they will be coming from. He will keep everyone guessing, and he will open his lab to any and all comers. Be prepared for "mad science" of sports at its best.
This week is a special epsiode of The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab, as at 10pm, he welcomes Kansas City Royals legend Willie Mays Aikens into the lab. Aikens was once one of the most feared hitters of the late 1970' and early 1980's with the Royals, helping lead Kansas City to the AL pennant in 1980. However, drugs overcame him, and he ended up in prison for almost 20 years. However, since his release in 2008, Aikens has has spoken at schools about his experiences and to the Royals’ young players, always hoping to return to baseball. In November 2008, apologized to Royals fans and the people of Kansas City in the Kansas City Star. In 2011, he returned to the Royals Family in the organization, and has since wrote a book about his rise, fall and rebirth "Safe At Home". As an extra added attraction, JP Muzio, former host of The Sports Ministry and Off The Wall, will be joining me on the interview.
Also appearing this week - 1030pm, Andrew Garda of NJ.com and Bleacher Report to talk some New Jersey college sports (Rutgers, Seton Hall and more); 11pm, Derek Helling of Outside Pitch MLB returns to preview the American League West; 1130pm, Matt Zemek of The Student Section to talk some NCAA Basketball and a Preview to March Madness.
The beacons are lit, the experiments are set, and "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab" is open for study!!!
