“Why Does Mommy Hurt?” is a great resource to talk to children about chronic pain and illness. On this episode, we'll discuss the guilt and shame many parents suffering from chronic pain feel about their parenting. The fact is that parents with chronic pain or illness can be just as awesome as “normal” parents when it comes to raising kids, and if you love your kids, that’s all that matters. We may not be able to walk a mile to the playground, cook a 7-course organic meal from scratch, or volunteer on a field trip to the amusement park, but that’s not what really matters. If you love your kids, you will find your own way, and your kids will know it. Also, many parents in this situation feel very alone, especially when first diagnosed. There are millions of families out there in the same situation, you are not alone, and you have support out there waiting for you!
This episode I will be revealing the root cause of most chronic pains. I will also share a little about how I cause the body to instantly release most kinds of chronic pain naturally without prescription drugs or surgery.

Join our original "Pelvic Messenger" Elisabeth Oas, as she interviews Dr. Mario Castellano of Phoenix Arizona. He is here to discuss some of the underlying causes of the biggest diagnoses chronic pelvic pain patients deal with. While many of us, have IC, Endo, Pudendal Neuralgia and more...we also often might have other diagnoses going on we are unaware of, that are either mimicking these bigger players or making them worse. In either case treating these other diagnoses is important to feeling better!! I think we can all agree that being able to recognize the subtle differences in our pelvic pain can be hard, especially when everything is hurting at once. Tune into this show to help yourself with gaining the insight on how to do this!!
Dr. Castellanos expertise includes pudendal neuralgia, pelvic congestion syndrome, pelvic floor muscle spasms, interstitial cystitis, and pain related to vaginal mesh procedures. He has special skills in pudendal nerve decompression surgery, ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, and Botox trigger point injections. He is also a fellowship trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon for the treatment of complex pelvic pathology and pelvic pain.
He has presented at national congregations and published on various topics related to chronic pelvic pain. He is an active member of the AAGL and the International Pelvic Pain Society. It was his research and work presented at the 2014 IPPS annual conference, that inspired us to have him on the show! Discussing these very complicated and critical topics can make a world of difference for the overall well being for the patient living with pelvic pain.

The National Institute of Mental Health states that Major depressive disorder, or depression, is a serious mental illness. Depression interferes with your daily life and routine and reduces your quality of life. About 6.7% of U.S. adults ages 18 and older have depression. Depression not only affects your brain and behavior—it affects your entire body. Depression has been linked with other health problems, including chronic pain. Dealing with more than one health problem at a time can be difficult, so proper treatment is important. Chronic pain is pain that lasts for weeks, months, or even years. It often does not ease with regular pain medication. Chronic pain can have a distinct cause, such as a temporary injury or infection or a long-term disease. But some chronic pain has no obvious cause. Like depression, chronic pain can cause problems with sleep and daily activities, reducing your quality of life. Join me and my special guest speaker Dr. Dale Brown who specializes and treats these medical issues. We will discuss the seriousness of how disabling chronic pain and depression can be, then we will discuss how Dr. Brown has saved my life from these diblitating disorders. He can save yours too! We will also discuss chronic Migraines and the dibilitating suffering that comes with them and how you can be relieved of them without the use of anymore harmful pain narcotics. I was addicted for 9 years to pain pills and now free from them. Let us help you with your suffering and find a new freedom and help you live life again with positive energy!
