  • Old Traditions ~ New Ways

    in Spirituality

Join Jim Graywolf and Rod Feigle - Grandfathers Around the Fire - for a LIVE webcast about Old Traditions ~ New Ways on Ciracle Radio on Sunday, 11/01 at 1 PM MST, 3 PM EST, 12 PM PST, 8 PM London and 10 PM Israel time. Come join us by clicking the picture link below at show time.

This show is for men and women and needs men and women to be complete. Rod and Jim look at topics that interest and concern the men who have or are now spiritually awakening - and wondering how men need to adapt with the changing times before us. And we especially hope the women will join the circle as well, with their thoughts and input as men have on the Women’s Healing Hour.

How do we honor both the old traditions and the new ways we are being asked to share between cultures? We have been told for generations that all people would need to come together and share their knowledge and ceremonies to create a more balanced Earth. So it is. But we also need the freedom to carry and use some ceremonies in the old ways. How men and women balance these issues will be the core of this show. We want you!

The talking stick is now YOURS! Come join us and share your thoughts - or decide to just listen. Hit the link below just before show time.

We are under the illusion of ease, not thinking about what we’re doing – breathing the same old way, moving the same old way, thinking the same old way we check out of the present and out of happiness itself.” ~ Alex Levin

    The True Spirit of Christmas

    in Religion

The Christmas Tree is decked with ornaments, the floor below is covered with gifts and the trees’ pleasant Christmas-ie fragrance permeates the home as Christmas music delights the ears. The Christmas Season is the very best time of year for many. The Christmas Spirit fills the air amid scurrying shoppers and merry makers. There’s the anticipation of gifts, food and joyous visits from friends and relatives. And the spirit in which all these things and more are done is to celebrate the birth of the King of Kings, Jesus Christ, right?

We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Mon 8:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Thu 8:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am.  All times are Eastern Standard Time.

Healthy Holiday Alternatives: Celebrating and Creating Our Own Traditions

    in Spirituality

As we gain knowledge of self, our history and culture, we begin to reject the standard issue commercial holidays that come with the season. Layer by layer, we release our attachment to the lies and fairy tales that accompany them. Many times we have to engage or contend with our families, friends and various aspects of life and society as we raise our children and make different choices. How do we do this and stay true to our culture and our values? We now have an opportunity to create our own traditions and celebrations as we enter into the holiday season. We will discuss how the popular holidays were formed and the meanings behind them. We will also discuss the synchronicity with the time of year, seasons, and planetary alignments. As we remember who we are, we must remember that family, community and Spirit are at the core of who we are as African people. It is time to fill the void and celebrate in ways that nurture who we truly are. Celebration and ritual are wonderful ways to do so and instill values that can endure through the generations that are to follow.
