Hey Podcast Land,
Did you know that there are still a lot of things that you don't know? Okay, just joking ;) !
But , I wanna keep it real, there are a lot of known facts that I didn't know about! I didn't know that the first match to ignite a flame was created by accident! In the 19th century, John Walker a Pharmacist/Chemist, revolutionized the match by creating a "friction based" chemical that gave off a spark and ignited a fire that spreaded like wildfire! WOW, just think about life without fire?! However, the concept of the modern match was founded in the 1700's by alchemist Hennig Brandt.

Abena Joan Brown, one of the early pioneers of African-American theater in Chicago and the president and chief executive officer of the eta Creative Arts Foundation for 40 years, died on Sunday. She was 87.
Articulate, passionate and intimidating to behold, Brown ran eta with uncompromising determination and old-fashioned formality, shepherding the organization to new facilities in an old window factory on S. South Chicago Avenue, near the corner of 75th Street, and always pushing for further growth
As Brown often said in interviews, her impetus for starting eta was her own inability to find work as an artist: Its precursor was founded in 1969 by Brown, alongside Okoro Harold Johnson, Al Johnson and Archie Weston.
Operating initially under the name Ebony Talent Associates, the group wanted to increase exposure and opportunities for African-American actors in Chicago. But Brown found that more training was needed for those actors, and thus eta was born.

careful structuring of my presentations that lead people to want to buy without having to resort to the high-pressure, cheesy sales tactics employed by so many platform salespeople.
(Don’t make the mistake of thinking what I’m going to share with you is just about platform selling. It applies to virtually all types of sales situations.)
Step #1: Preconditioning through commitment
You’ve probably been subjected to a platform salesperson asking you the most insane questions to elicit a positive response. For example, he jumps on stage and says, “How many of you want to make a lot of money?!!!”
Step #2: Setting up desire.
I want to sell people what they want. It’s a heck of a lot easier than trying to convince them they need something. The cool thing is you can create desire in your prospects in very subtle ways.
Step #3: The “recall” close
When I got to the part of the bootcamp where I made the actual product offering, I use the “commitments” the audience made in step #1 and the desire for the product I created in “step 2″ to compel many of the audience members to invest.
