Sean Chessman is internationally renowned and has worked with some of the world's top entertainers, including Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Vanessa Williams, Carmen Electra, Tina Turner, Queen Latifah, and Britney Spears.
Most recently Sean was one of the producers, creative directors and choreographers for Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for a Dorothy on the TV show Over The Rainbow (airing in Canada). Choreographer and Head Judge on the reality show/dance competition Dirty Dancing: Time of Your Life. One of the only choreographers to have judged and choreographed for #SYTYCD in the USA, Canada and UK. Choreographer and Mentor for the T4 show Musicool.
Sean studied at the Alvin Ailey Dance Center in New York. He toured with Janet Jackson as a choreographer and dancer. He subsequently choreographed the Diamonds and Pearls tour for Prince, as well as tours for Faith Hill, No Angels, and is currently working on ad campaigns for Nike and Bacardi.
Sean appeared in and choreographed for the movie The Bodyguard. Television works include Guys Next Door, Soul Train Awards and Janet Jackson's Saturday Night Live performance.

Deardra Shuler interviews Darrin Ross producer of Invincible: A Glorious Tribute to Michael Jackson and LaValle Smith, Jr. who worked with Michael Jackson over the years as a dancer and choreographer of several of the Michael Jackson tours like Badd, History and Dangerous. He appeared on the concert tours of The Rolling Stones, Beyonce, Diana Ross and Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation Tour. Invincible is appearing at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) at 8;00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13. The show, nothing short of a extravaganza, features dancers, Jackson's songs, videos, light show, and two look alike impersonators, Pete Carter (dancing Michael) and Jeffrey Perez (concert Michael).
Invincible Producer and Director, Darrin Ross is the recipient of a 2001 New York Dance & Performance Award (BESSIE) for his music composition for Rome & Jewels. Mr. Ross has worked with and established many artists in the industry such as Freeway, PM Dawn, Newcleus, Doug E. This is a black arts and culture site. We will be exploring the African Diaspora via the writing, performance, both musical and theatrical (film and stage), as well as the visual arts of Africans in the Diaspora and those influenced by these aesthetic forms of expression. I am interested in the political and social ramifications of art on society, specifically movements supported by these artists and their forebearers. It is my claim that the artists are the true revolutionaries, their work honest and filled with raw unedited passion. They are our true heroes. Ashay!

Washington, D.C.- native Mýa released her self-titled, double platinum, debut album, Mýa, in 1998. The album launched the then 18-year-old Mýa into the fabric of pop-culture. Mýa featured the massively successful singles “It’s All About Me,” “Movin On” and “My First Night With You” “Ghetto Superstar” & “Take Me There.” In 2000, Mýa released her second double platinum album, Fear of Flying. In May 2001, Mýa collaborated with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, P!nk and Missy Elliot on a remake of LaBelle’s “Lady Marmalade”, which is featured in Baz Luhrman’s “Moulin Rouge.” Selling over 5.5 million copies, it became the most successful airplay-only single in history and won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration and went on to collect numerous awards.

1.Interdisciplinary artist Lindsay C. Harris was born in Southern California in 1986 and raised in Santa Fe, NM. Receiving her B.A. in Africana Studies & Art from Vassar College and M.A. in Arts Politics from NYU, she is an arts educator, writer, critical thinker, cultural worker, comedian, designer, and performer.
Her Evoking the Mulatto is a multiplatform narrative and visual art project examining black mixed identity in the 21st century, culminates Thursday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 pm in a screening of all four episodes of Evoking the Mulatto followed by a panel discussion featuring Harris, a project interviewee, and New School Director of Office of Civic Engagement and Social Justice Judy Pryor-Ramirez at the YouTube Space NY. The panel will be moderated by cultural programmer and arts administrator Maura Cuffie. The event will be live streamed on NBPC’s YouTube Channel, www.youtube.com/user/NBPC
2. Malik Seneferu, internationally renowned artist, joins us to talk about "Home Coming," his current exhibition at the AAACC in San Francisco, opening Nov. 20. Home Coming showcases several of Seneferu's explorations into art making. Mostly known for his paintings this exhibition concentrates on Seneferu's ballpoint pen drawings and miniature hand carved sculptures made from ivory soap and wood.
3. Isaura Oliveira, respected and celebrated Brazilian choreographer and educator, brings Bahia to the Bay Area this month culminating with free programs this week.
