IS CHIVALRY DEAD OR ALIVE & IS CHIVALRY LIVING INSIDE OF YOU? Real Talk Live 216 family, Can we have a real conversation this evening talking about the one thing that was instilled in me as yoing child growning up in Cleveland, Ohio and that was "CHIVALRY." What ever happened to paying for dinner and drink, pulling out someone chair, holding the door fo someone, walking on the outside closest to the streets, helping a lady put her coat coat on or better yet asking her to the prom instead of texting her.
Back in the day, it was common practice for men to open doors for ladies, let them out of cars, and even hold their hand when going up stairs. There are so many customary practices regarding chivalry that seem to be dead and or dying today. Is it just the way this generation does things? It seems that there are very few men who still practice these customs today. We want to know from you: Is chivalry dead? What can we do to bring it back to life or is it a lost cause? Dr. & Lady Newells are ready to discuss this with you tonight!
In the times and days that we are currently living in does Chivalry actually play a major part in our own individual lives let alone the world?. Do we as men and women take the time and the opportunity to display a chivalrous act towards someone that we do or do not know? Do we as men open the door, hold the umbrella, pay for dinner or even give up our sit for an elderly person who is trying to find a seat on a RTA bus. For women do we say thank you and your welcome when someone says or does something nice for you even if we are not sure if the person is trying to hit on you. Regardless of the fact is Chivalry Alive or is it DEAD where we as human beings haven't taken the time to pass on the chivalrous trait to our children and families. This week, my co-hosts and I, will to take a look at chivalry and ask, Is chivalry really dead? Are men still being men and not boys, and opening doors for women, pulling out chairs? Complimenting them when they look nice? Things like that. Has that practice fallen on deaf ear? Has the "Gentlemen" evolved past that, or not enough to still being practicing those things, those little things that every man, every good man should know? We'll talk about it this Sunday, when we're "On-Air" with Sada. And my guest co-host Mista Ecks....See you this Sunday "On-Air".
Chivalry/Chivalrous (adjective): 1. Having the qualities of chivalry, as courage, courtesy, and loyalty. 2. Considerate and courteous to women; gallant.
What ever happened to the act of men opening a door for a woman, or even the simple act of pulling out and holding a chair for a woman to be seated?
In today’s world it seems that the art of dating and courting is GONE. It seems that what we used to call a DATE is now merely a HOOK-UP, which lends to the thought that respectability or chivalry is now a mere figment of our imagination.
On this episode of Hot Topics Talk Radio, we’re going to discuss today’s dating culture, and what is now so different today, versus yesterday.
Our special guest at the top of the show will be Hip-Hop Recording Artist, Billy Bang!!! You can check out Billy Bang, featured in the new hit, "Candy Rain".

Chivalry do we need it? Is it good for people today? Valentine’s Day; should we make this a special day for love and dates? Or should we boycott it? I will talking about Chivalry in its modern form. Is it celebrated even in January 2015? Also, Valentine's Day. Is this a good thing or a good holiday? Is it worth the time, money and effort? Should we move a day for romance to a different day? Are restuarants visits best or something like go cart racing best for this day I will be voicing my stance, my position on these topics. Additional topics may be discussed.
We ask the question, is Chivalry Dead? Well, it seems that the women has given up and settled for just any type of treatment from men. Do women think that the Perfect Gentleman no longer exists. Ladies call in and give us your opinion. 646-716-6296
