Gregory Nasky from Fierce Redmption radio is bringing you another godly man that has over come the childhood sexual abuse from his so-called family member, who is a state cop, thats supposed to protect us all from people just like himself. This is an uplifing story that has Redemption written all over it, Scott Polston is a personal friend of mine that has changed his life around and is now working full-time at the church Epic center in St. louis, Mo with a mission to speak up and out about his hurts, habits and hang-ups and how this man tore his childhood away from him which led him to a life of addiction and how his story is a must hear. I know, from hearing it myself, it will truly move you and make you think twice. It will lead you to want to help change the laws on how much time people have to bring criminal charges against these monsters, who are given a limilted amount of time and can walk away free, without facing charges for the awful crimes they have commited against children. Together, raising awareness, we can start making a change and start getting these laws changed. The person that has been robbed of their childhood should have a lifetime to bring charges against their monster. Sadly, most survivors of childhood sexual abuse may not be ready or able or willing for years to bring charges against their monster. So, please listen to our show and open your hearts and ears and enjoy the show. Thank you, Gregory Nasky / fierce redemption

In this episode of Coach Cafe, Estra and Kathleen welcome Rachel Grant, founder and owner of Rachel Grant Coaching. Rachel is a Trauma Recovery and Relationship Coach who also holds an M.A. in Counseling Psychology.
Rachel will be speaking to us about the effects of childhood sexual abuse and how to move from from merely surviving this trauma to really living life. Rachel helps her clients identify and break patterns of thought and behavior that keep them from recovering. During the show she will discuss some of the first steps survivors of abuse can take towards recovery and explain how she developed her 16 session course, Beyond Surviving. Rachel feels that coaching is more appropriate for many people than intensive therapy or analysis and will explain the difference in approaches.

An individual who was sexually abused as a child is an adult survivor of child sexual abuse. This abuse may have had long-term effects on the survivor’s life. In most instances, the victim of the abuse never discussed the abuse with others while it was occurring. This individual is learning now, as an adult, to deal with the effects of the abuse.
Possible Long-Term Effects:
Each individual’s experiences and reactions are unique to that individual. However, with so many survivors breaking the silence and talking about their experiences, it has become apparent that there are some responses to child sexual abuse that are common to many survivors.
Feelings of extremely low self-esteem or self-hatred are common in survivors. Extreme depression is something with which survivors also battle.
Survivors often experience frequent sleep disturbances and nightmares. Links have been made between this and the fact that children are often sexually abused in their rooms, in their own beds.
Trust is a crucial issue for many survivors throughout their lives. They were betrayed by the very people who cared for them, who insisted they loved them even while abusing them.
Re-victimization describes the process whereby women who were sexually abused as children frequently find themselves in abusive, dangerous situations, or relationships as adults.
Survivors with disabilities who experienced sexual abuse in childhood might never have reached a level of independence to escape this abuse and it has become a way of life.
