Let's get to know Julie Brill, she is one of our wonderful CAPPA Faculty members. She trains Childbirth Educators and shares her insight and wisdom on this subject (and more) with our listeners.
Julie Brill, CCCE, CLD owns and manages WellPregnancy in Bedford, Massachusetts. She has been teaching childbirth classes and attending births since 1992, and mentoring new birth professionals throughout New England as a member of the CAPPA Faculty since 2003. Julie is honored to have taught thousands of childbirth education students in a variety of settings and hundreds of CAPPA birth professionals. She feels she has the best job in the world, and is lucky to have found her profession and her calling.
Julie graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Sociology and Women’s Studies and completed the Massachusetts Midwifery Alliance Apprenticeship Course. She is certified to present Peggy Huddleston’s Prepare for Cesarean Birth, Heal Faster workshops. She is also a La Leche League Leader and the mother of two homeschooled teenage daughters.
Julie finds that the women who are drawn to doula and childbirth educator work are an amazing group and she feels blessed to be able to mentor, learn from, and work with them. Doulas’ desire to support women during the childbearing year and their choice to work unknown hours at unscheduled times is the inspiration for Round the Circle: A Doula Anthology, her first book, which is available for pre-order at ibreastfeeding.com. More information is available at www.wellpregnancy.com.

More and more, we are confronted, even overwhelemed, with individuals who love, love, LOVE, to blame everybody and everything for their place and station in their lives. NEVER wanting to take responsibility, much less control, for their part in why things don't go the way they envision. It's irritating! TONIGHT, Tigga & ArmageDon take on this deeply troubling and cancerous epidemic in the only way we know how: Straight, NO chaser. An interesting and empowering segment in which ALL are welcome to join the conversation.

There’s no link between vouchers and gains in student achievement.
There’s no conclusive evidence that vouchers improve the achievement of students who use them to attend private school. Nor is there any validity to claims that, by creating a “competitive marketplace” for students, vouchers force public schools to improve. In fact, the most dramatic improvements in student achievement have occurred in places where vouchers do not exist — such as Texas, North Carolina, Connecticut and Chicago. Instead, those states and communities focused on teacher quality and extra help for students who need it.
Do vouchers undermine accountability for public funds?
Do you feel that vouchers do not reduce public education costs?
Do vouchers give parents real educational choice?
Two out of three voters cast “no” on use of vouchers.
