Tonight's special guest is Lisa Dawn Wilkins from North Platte, Nebraska, a returning NAASCA family member. A survivor of severe childhood sexual and physical abuse, her adult life was just as disastrous and painful. Now she's a foster parent and author of a new book, "Abuse The Darkness Within," expected out soon. She runs a popular NAASCA associated Facebook Community of the same name. There's also a companion Facebook Group for sharing. Lisa works to bring about awareness and to put an end to child abuse and domestic violence. "Medication to me is not the answer," Lisa says. "I healed and continue to heal by choosing to help others and challenge my fear one step at a time. I had several diagnoses through out my life and after studying them I knew that was not what I had. I knew what took me years to get to would take me years to come out of." She goes on, "I suffered from circumstances, from things that happen to me. The psychologist try to push medication. But look at me. I refused and I am a productive citizen. We can choose to let them win or we can choose to win." Determined to succeed, Lisa went her own way. "I walked away from everyone and everything I knew my whole life and I put up a no contact order. I started over and my life has improved everyday their away. I still love them but I don't desire their approval or love any longer." Lisa concludes, "I now share my story to bring awareness to what is real, what I lived through and what I do to over come."

Things happen in families. Someone gets sick, someone dies, someone goes to jail, someone gets strung out on drugs. It happens, our siblings, our cousins, maybe even our close friends, for whatever reason, leave behind children to raise and we choose to step up to the plate. But our choice, rather through a sense of compassion, obligation, or guilt, may not always be our spouse's choice. What if the child is unruly, undisciplined, disobedient and disrespectful? How do we love and care for them anyway? What of their oresence disrupts our home? Should we expect our spouse to just continue to be patient and supportive? What happens if a child begins to negatively affect your marriage - and there is no other relative who is willing to step up? Would you put a child who is a blood relative in foster care? Should you, if they become too much to handle?
People's Free Medical Research Health Clinics
We believe that the government must provide, free of charge,
for the people, health facilities that will not only treat our illnesses, most of which are a result of our oppression, but that will also develop preventative medical programs to guarantee our future survival. We believe that mass health education and research programs must be developed to give all Black and oppressed people access to advanced sCienti c and medical information, so we may provide ourselves with proper medical attention and care.
Point Six of the Black Panther Party Program's Platform of March 29, 1972, explains the reasons for the institution ofthe People's Free Medical Research Health Clinics, which provide free medical treatment and preventative medi cal care for the community. Private hospitals and doctors charge fees far more expensive than poor people can a ord, while public hospitals and clinics are so overcrowded and understa ed that their services are almost totally inade quate. The People's Free Medical Research Health Clinics o er an alternative to this problem.
The clinics provide comprehensive health care for the community. Doctors treat patients for common physical ailments and refer them to spe cialists if necessary. Laboratory testing is also provided in conjunction with local hospitals.
Along with the Sickle-Cell Anemia Research Foundation, the clinics con duct testing and research for a cure for sickle-cell anemia.
Child health is a serious problem in the Black community, and the clinics have developed a ChildHealth Care Program to meet this community need. The Child Health Care Program provides immunizations; screening and sickle cell anemia iron de ciency anemia, and tuberculosis; referrals; and complete physi cal examinations as well as treatment of illnesses." Tonight on "It's Real Talk Radio" we have 2 current, interesting and controversial topics. Yup, we're sticking to current events tonight! On the first half of our show, we'll be discussing the breaking news of Ciara suing her ex-boyfriend and child's father, Future who is a current rapper. Future has been known for being vocal about his issues with Ciara on social media and in his music while Ciara has played more of the "Kill em with silence and Child Support role." We just recently did a show on Child Support so this topic will lead to us revisiting some of the things we talked about in that show. We're looking very forward to getting on air and giving our 2 cents on this topic.
On the second half of our show, we'll be discussing the accusations of Diddy or Puff (whichever you prefer) paid to have Rap Legend Tupac Shakur assassinated. Former L.A.P.D. Detective Greg Kading states that in his new documentary "Murder Rap", he'll be providing detailed proof of what he believes took place that ultimately lead to the murder of Tupac including interviews with key witnesses. Greg Kading was the lead investigator for the Biggie murder case which like the Tupac murder case was left unsolved but most, including Greg himself, feel like both murders are related. What our question is for our listeners is: Do you think Diddy truly may have been the man who contracted the murder of Tupac and if so, what would he have had to gain? Well tonight we'll be sharing our opinions on this controversial topic, so don't miss out! Callers are welcome. 347-838-9540.
