This Monday night at 7/8p (ct/et) on The GreenHouse FX Radio Show, I'm asking the question - "NOW WHAT?"
The Republicans have control of the senate and the house... Obama is out in two years - what does that mean for the next six years? In Chicago, the Mayor election is in Feb... what are WE doing to educate ourselves on the current topics?... do WE know the topics? Do you feel that you will have to do "things" differently?
I think WE have a lot to talk about...

In the mayoral money race, the rich—that is, Rahm—gets richer ?
Mayor Rahm Emanuel has raised $1.4 million for his reelection bid—and that's just in the last few weeks.
Jesus Garcia received earlier this month from SEIU Healthcare, the contributions have brought his campaign fund up to about $700,000., Alderman Robert Fioretti, had about $259,000 on hand at the end of September and has reported raising about $77,000 since. Fioretti's biggest donation so far—$25,000—has come from J.R. Davis, owner of a detective and armored car company. Last week he received $2,500 from Mike Ditka.Chicago Reader

The love of people have takes a back seat to money in America. The evidence is there for all to see. Look at how politicians make decisions. Look at how law enforcement make decisions. Look at how business owners make decisions. Look at how educators make decisions. Look at how decisions are made in all the entertainment fields. Look at how clergy make decisions about location, congregations. Look at how it all trickles down into our own communities and homes in our daily lives. Lack of money leads to deteriorated communities, leads to destruction of property and lives, leads to crime. America has its values out of order. Money comes first. Property next. People last.
The phones are always open!!

It is again our honor to have as our distinguished guest tonight, Mr. Stanley Cohen. It is with dismay that this will be our last time speaking with Mr Cohen before he has to surrender himself to authorities on January 6th to serve out a sentence for, in our opinion, what amounts to BS tax code violations that should not require jail time. Even Rep. Grimm of NY pled guilty to actual tax evasion and still gets to stay in congress.
All that aside, something tells us, he is secretly looking forward to his time behind bars. He said that he intends to use his time to help those incarcerated due to miscarriages of justice. I'm sure there are more than enough of those to keep him occupied.
We learned last week, thanks to a Guardian exposé, that Stanley had played a major role in negotiations for the life of US hostage Peter Kassig from his ISIS captors. The effort was seemingly thwarted by, at the very least, inaction by US officials. Kassig was later beheaded.
We shall find out what comes next for this defender of the defenders. "Up The Rebels"
