Oya Thomas has spent her life delighting in the freeing, connective force of music. The beginning of her musical and spiritual journey can be traced back to Oya’s earliest experiences – joyful impressions that have added a genuine playfulness to her work’s mantra even as she matures as an artist. At the age of three, deeply inspired and encouraged by her father and personal hero Ezekiel and his distinctive voice, she began to sing tirelessly, writing poems and stories on the spot and setting them to music. Her ability to express herself fluidly through song strengthened the bond between the members of her tight-knit family as they gathered around the piano to revel in her enduring enthusiasm and colorful world perspectives.
In Oya’s words, “To feel is such a great experience in and of itself, and to be able to do it with something I have inside me, from the depth of my spirit is like a wonderful sharing that I cannot put into words. A smile, applause singing along, someone saying how good I made them feel makes everything worthwhile. These experiences are gratifying to me as an artist and performer and because I know I am helping someone else connect to their emotions in a positive way. I always said I wanted to use my talents to see God’s great earth, and so I am.”
With deep, immovable roots nourished by her father’s love and support as well as an innate fervor for growth as an artist and a human being, Oya continues to ignite her exceptional spark through her art.
Spirit of Oya is her debut solo album.

Being a married mother of two sons, I am also a self-directed, enthusiastic educator of 15 years with a commitment to student development. Awards/recognitions include Teacher of the Year, maintaining EOC test scores 90-100% for 9 precedent years, and having a low achievement gap within all reporting categories of 5%. I initiated an effective alternative method of dealing with minor infractions instead of administrative referrals. I am an author of a book on closing the achievement gap that cleverly implies your students’ actions are a reflection of your attitude toward them. I am the founder/executive director of "YHWH Tutoring and Assistance", a new nonprofit organization that provides year-round assistance for transitioning 9th graders but also offer mentorship services to high schoolers with scholarship incentives to ensure on-time graduation with post secondary plans.
DJ Grand Mill, a Tennessee native, is a turntablist. DJ Grand Mill is not only a dj, but is also known as THE RAPPING DJ and is also a producer as well. Mark 5:8-9 says, “COME OUT OF THE MAN, THOU UNCLEAN SPIRIT.” And he asked him, “WHAT IS THY NAME?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion, for we are MANY.” Bishop Terry Minor (Grand Mill’s Father), had a PROPHETIC DREAM one night that was Divinely Interpreted!! In the dream: Bishop Terry Minor was standing in a room and the nations were outside all around the room crying out for help shouting “Pastor Minor!!!! Come on!!!!” Across the room from Pastor Minor was a big man balling his fist, as if he is ready to fight. Pastor Minor said ”Who are you?” the man answered him saying “I am Legion, for we are many.” Then while Bishop Minor VERBALLY began to REBUKE him, “Legion” dropped to the floor in appearance as a CD. And before Bishop Minor COULD CAST HIM OUT OR SPEAK TO HIM (while Legion fell to the floor as a CD) it was DJ Grand Mill who appeared and PHYSICALLY grabbed the CD and through it out!! With Legion representing “MANY” and the nations outside under the dirt crying out for help, at that moment DJ Grand Mill realized it was time to fulfill the calling That God has on his Life to cast out and move out Legion with and through his music. DJ Grand Mill making beats all his life, felt the Holy Spirit in him to Rap-Preach The Word through his music. DJ Grand Mill is now pursuing God’s calling on his Life and preaching the Gospel through his music and is being a BODY that Christ will use to spread the message.

For over a decade, Higher Authority (Charity, Khristi, Vennetta and Zimika) have represented an interesting contradiction: gentle, caring, beautiful young women, yet aggressive and warlike when it comes to serving God by the lives they lead and the message they write in their songs. The new single, “I’m His Favorite” is a perfect announcement of our place in the eyes of God. It simply states God is not mad at us, but is madly in love with us, and we are his favorite in all the world. “Say Wow” is a song that expresses their amazement of God. Higher Authority recorded the song in Spanish and will be released as a CD single September 2014. The song “V.I.R.G.I.N.” hits the concerned areas of our culture today about promiscuity and combating it. Their songs have been played on KURS, San Diego’s first 24-hour gospel music radio show, have been interviewed by host Duane Watson on “In the spot light” and have attained airplay on KIFM with Eric J. Chambers hosting on “The Jazzspel Show”. Higher Authority is deeply devoted to their local community in San Diego, California. . They partnered with various organizations, the Daniel Foundation which focuses on helping inner city youth, They received an award for Best Original Composition at the San Diego County Fair in the Acappella Contest for “I am” which demonstrates their intricate harmonies and flawless blending. Higher Authority’s passion for ministry as well as a respect for their platform is of great importance to each of its members. Charity, Khristi, Vennetta and Zimika all believe that their mission is to be a blessing to others. “Our prayer is that you be blessed by the lyrics of our songs and allow them to become more than just words but also a confession”.
INTRODUCING TERESA MASON BROWNING!!! AUTHOR OF "A BLACK MAN'S PAIN"
I first discovered my passion for wring at the early age of 13. I would sit alone and write for hours about my thoughts, dreams and about the people around me. I wrote in a journal every day. Aer many years had passed I decided to take my journals and put my thoughts into book form.
As a self published author I actually didn't start putting my work together for a novel unl my children were in there last few years of high school so it was very easy to find me to capture my thoughts. My children were very supportive in my goal of becoming a writer.
Getting my work published was the easy part. It is you who must be able to walk through the door in your season to deliv-er the message. If you reach one person with your message from what you have written, you know you have achieved the goal you personally set out to do.
For all of you who have taken me out of your busy day to read through the pages of these books, I extend a gracious thank you. I hope that they have been a blessing to you and have allowed you to release everything that has held you back from accomplishing your hopes and dreams in life. Peace and love to you all.
