"I Apologize" W/ Hosts Taralyn & Soul Kitten on FIRE & ICE

    in Radio

    DESCRIPTION

Join Taralyn and Soul Kitten with special guest Rashawn Sullivan on a journey through the depths of darkness and death that ended with one man's decision to crawl at his lowest point into the light. Rashawn Sullivan took the life of Jason Crawford and you would think that the story ended there. However, there was life to be lived by Rashawn, Jason's loved ones, and Rashawn's family and friends so what was next? Can a "meaningful life" be attained by an offender that has taken a life? Does a convicted murder deserve a "meaningful life"?

Tune in this Saturday January 9th and decide after you listen.

SIDE NOTE: Today more than ever there is a division among the black community that has widened more than ever before. It was no mistake that we here at FIRE & ICE were drawn to Mr. Sullivan and his amazing story. In the media we, black people, are depicted as heartless savages who kill one another without a thought. We, as they depict on every media outlet there is, are nothing more that materialistic shells who wander this earth purposeless, pointlessly, and with an agenda to sap any and all resources. Then, there is this story you will NEVER see in the media. Do not think that Rashawn is an isolated incidence. Do not think that the same fear, doubt, and anger that once shadowed his heart but was removed by a connection to his spirit and God are unique to ONLY him.

Rashawn is a representative of countless extraordinary men that go unnoticed and their efforts unappreciated by those who will never know they exist and how their transformation feeds our communities.

PRODUCED BY: Taralyn & Soul Kitten

    SONG CREDITS:

Mirror -Lil Wayne ft. Bruno Mars

    Alright -Kendric Lamar

    Beautiful Struggle -Talib Kweli

Man In the Mirror -Michael Jackson

When God's mantle of justice is harsh: Isaiah 13 plus commentary

    in The Bible

Tonight we play special music you may or may not have heard.  Jane reads Isaiah 13 and Bible commentary.

Isaiah was in a position in which he needed to explain to Israel and the Kingdom of Judah the pending conquer of Babylon over themselves.  God established punishment for the Nation of Israel due to disobedience and it was not light.  Facing retribution by God can be devastating.  Subsequently, the most recent Babylonian empire, Saddam Hussein's Iraq, has fallen and been dashed to pieces twice in the last 25 years.

Tune in to learn more of life's lessons from Jane and Jon.

Get an A+ in COUNTRY, a better President, with Write-In Ballots: Curtis Clinton

    in Elections

Am I worried, your betcha. Your are making mistakes right in front of your noses and you can’t smell the roses. I don’t know why you can’t see the Political parade of charades spoken by the Presidential Candidates on TV. I am not on TV and you can’t see how much better we would be if I were elected to the White House. It is so simple a thought to have a single person elected from the people, instead of a candidate with an over-stuff staff and a boatload of favored donors to be assigned cushy jobs with big pay. You are going to PAY FOR IT. Not everyone of the donors is qualified and so the government mess continues. The head of Homeland Security – HS - is not qualified to head up that Agency and you can see why with all the mistakes made by him and his poor leadership of the HS. Picj any Agency and I can show you Stupidty, Stupidity and more: IRS, FDA, EPA, Dept of Education – now are they really ignorant – and when should I stop with the Abbreviations. I am not a Politician and I see the mess that Politics has visited  us and chained our country to a cement Boot and more BOOTS On The Ground. We should be finished with the Middle East and long ago. But Politics played its hand and our President stopped short of wiping out Saddam and placing a Pro Forma Government Template to govern until Democracy could be instituted and before the IRAQ Army could ditched their uniforms and blend into the down trodden/bereaved populace. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out this mistake and others. I am no genius, but I have smarts galore to avoid mistakes, bad leadership and worse government. Please please see me and not just close me off from your mind. I tell the truth about what has to be done and what needs to be done and what cries out to be done. The longer you hesitate, wait and get deeper into your Poltical Candidates, the close we get to charades, chaos and conspiracy.

Sayyid Qutb: Founder of the Muslim Brotherhood

    in History

There was a time when the powers that be overtook the oppressor and harnessed them into their own brand of submission.  Sayyid Qatr, who actually studied in the U.S., and wrote several books felt like his Egyptian leader Nassar was too in bondage to Western leaders.  So he protested, and got beaten for it.  Learn how the MB started on this episode.

We will compare different eras of Middle East Leadership including the Ba'ath party origins, Saddam Hussen, Nassar and Rastafarian beliefs.

    Lost In Transmission - Episode #005 - w/Guest Michael F. Rivero

    in Current Events

Tonight we will be discussing the happenings of the week among many other things. We're also going to dive into the subject of Vincent Foster, a man who was once a partner with Hillary Clinton at a Law Firm. His death was ruled as suicide but it is long believed he was sent to death from the doings of Bill Clinton or one of his goons. Michael actually lost his career in Hollywood for reporting on this matter and we're going to touch on as much as we can tonight, so tune in!

Michael Rivero is the webmaster of whatreallyhappened.com and host of the What Really Happened radio shows on the Republic Broadcasting Network. The whatreallyhappened.com website is now in its 18th year.

Formerly with NASA, Michael transitioned his image processing skills (along with a brief stint as an actor) into the then-new motion picture computer animation field and has worked on films such as "Star Trek", "The Day After Tomorrow", and has supervised visual effects on "Brainscan", "LOST", and "Hawaii Five-0". Michael has taken a sabbatical from film work to focus all his efforts on peace activism.

Michael's foray into blogging began before the word was even invented, and happened almost by accident when he spotted a suspicious photograph being broadcast on ABC news in 1994 related to the death of White House deputy Council Vincent Foster.

Since that sudden beginning, Michael's website has expanded to cover diverse topics including the JFK assassination, the accidental shoot-down of TWA 800, election fraud, health issues, Saddam's non-existent nuclear weapons, 9-11, the economy, and of course, the lies used to trick the United States into wars of conquest on Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Iran.

Michael resides in Hawaii with his wife Claire, who is a composer and creates much of theme music used on the What Really Happened radio show.
