    Why Now?

    I am having a real problem with all this anti civil war sentiment, actually it is anti-slavery.  However, we haven't had legalized slavery since the civil war ended, why are we desecrating statues, memorials and burial sites of those who fought in the civil war?  Why now?  What is the motivation - I don't think it has anything to do with the civil war - I think it has to do with more important issues that our government does not want us to see.


    The treaty with Iran is a very important issue.  Congress and the people need to understand this treaty - is it good or bad?  What is happening with our economy?


    Let's get on with the business of taking care of our country and the people in it - not people who died more than 150 years ago.

We will feature our regular PANW reports with dispatches on developments surrounding the evaluation of a Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) prevention vaccine which initally reports indicate is highly effective; we also will look at the role of Egypt in carrying out United States imperialist policy towards Africa with the deployment of additional F-16 fighterjets in exchange for support of Washington's so-called "war on terrorism"; the recent elections in Burundi is cloaked in controversy as the European Union announced that it would provide additional assistance to refugees fleeing unrest in the Central African state; and in Baltimore where an urban rebellion took place in April,authorities have announced the closure of a detention facility in the city. In the second hour we begin our commemoration of Black August, paying tribute to the historic legacy of resistance by African people to slavery, colonialism, neo-colonialism and imperialism. This segment features a disucssion on the plight of Africans in the U.S. after the conclusion of slavery and the failed Reconstruction. We also present a rare audio message by Dr. W.E.B. Du Bois on his involvement in the early Pan-African Movement. Later in the second and third hour voices of the Poor People's Campaign of 1968 are heard discussing the social class divisions between African Americans and whites in the U.S. during the time period. The Poor People's Campaign was conceived by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during the last months of his life. The idea was to take thousands from across the U.S. of various nationalities to Washington, D.C. to demand an end to poverty inside the country. Although King was assassinated on April 4, 1968, the campaign continued beginning in May.

    America has gone beyond being just a terrorist state it has become a tyrannical state, not only have the police and the Judicial System been allowed to kill Black Persons with impunity but White, Brown, Red and Yellow.  America has become a Police State and the Police are now above the law and this is a danger to every Citizen of this Country. Now we must organize "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." To secure our rights as Citizens from the Tyranny of the Government protected Police? What about "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." In each case of the Killings by Police and Whites against Black Peoples rights have been violated and the victims are made the criminals.

    Indycar's Simona de Silvestro, Catholicism history and Panther conservation

    On today’s show World Footprints explores the plight of the endangered Panther, we chat with one of the rising IZOD Indycar stars Simona de Silvestro, and we also view Catholicism through the lens with Father Robert Barron.  As a special bonus, we added some sound bytes and interviews from the DC Stop Modern Slavery walk to end human trafficking.


    Panthers once roamed the entire southeastern United States; from Florida to South Carolina and Louisiana.  However, the panther was added to the Endangered Species List in 1967 and today the remaining population is isolated in South Florida.   The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is at the forefront of the Panther conservation efforts and Park Ranger Sandy Mickey from the Florida Panther & Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuges joins us today to talk about some of these initiatives. 


    Then, we enjoyed a chat with one of the IZOD Indycar series rising stars, Simona de Silvestro.  Simona is one of a handful of female Indycar racers and she is one of the most prominent racecar drivers on the track.   She is the first woman in Atlantic Series history to have earned the most wins and pole positions, and the IZOD Indycar Rising Star Award.  Finally, we will talk to Father Robert Barron, the Francis Cardinal George Professor of Faith and Culture at Mundelein Seminary and a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago, about his PBS series Catholicism. This documentary illustrates the history and treasures of a global religion shared by more than one billion people around the world by exploring art, architecture, literature, music and all the riches of the Catholic tradition.

          Today THOR will address a very serious epidemic oif Private Corporate for Profit Policing, Prison System and Politicians who are engaged in a form of "Slavery and Human Trafficking" under the umbrella of Traffic Tickets and Public Safety.


         SANDRA BLAND a woman visiting Texas was alllegedly stalked, profiled by a corporate employee of local municipal corporation called "Police Department". Sandra had her freedom of liberty and movement interrupted for "Failure to put on a turn Signal" in her non-commercial vehicle, in a non-commercial activity. Once pulled over "illegally" the corporate policy stalker" clearly acting on a common racial prejudice, beat, Terrorized and Assaulted her. All of this due to money hungry private corporate employees who think they have "Power to kill a Man/Woman for at best a civil matter. Then Samuel Dubose was killed in similar fashion but by a University of Ohio Police Officer (Security Guard) for absolutely no reason. He is no doubt a copy cat killer essentially duplicating the criminal acts he see's others in so called Law Enforcement commit everyday without consequence, and against so called Black People and or so called Minorities. Dubose was shot in the head and the University Security Guard fabricated a erroneus story similar to those created by others in his occupational arena. Sandra Bland was later found Dead in her jail cell. Alleged to have committed Suicide.


      WE CANNOT ALLOW ANOTHER LIFE TO BE TAKEN BY CORPORATE THUGS IN UNIFORMS, IT MUST STOP!
