In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to special guest, Linda Tucker, CEO and President of The Global White Lion Protection Trust. Linda recently published her second best-selling book, Saving the White Lions- One Womans Battle for Africas Most Sacred Animal which is a heart-warming story about her personal journey to save South Africa's rapidly diminishing white lion population as well as her mission to globally ban canned hunting. Canned hunting facilities offer customers the opportunity to kill exotic and native animals trapped within enclosures. Canned hunting is actually frowned upon and not supported by most hunters. Yet, there are some people who will pay a great deal of money to kill animals in canned hunts. Please help Linda Tucker ban canned hunts by signing the petition on Avaaz.org. You can also find it on WhiteLions.org. Today's show is brought to you by Eden Foods the most trusted name in certified organic clean food! Film critic Mack Bates and host Betty Jo Tucker review two new Susan Sarandon films -- The Last of Robin Hood and The Calling. Scott Abramovitch, who wrote the screenplay for The Calling, plans to join the discussion, and Richard Glatzer, director/writer of The Last of Robin Hood, has been invited to call in.
The Last of Robin Hood follows Errol Flynn's scandalous affair with a star-struck teenager during the late 1950s. Cast members include Kevin Kline, Dakota Fanning and Susan Sarandon. This intriguing movie deals with the desire for fame and the high price it exacts. Kline plays Flynn; Fanning portrays the somewhat naive teen; and Sarandon is her fame-obsessed mother.
In The Calling, a mysterious and suspenseful thriller, Sarandon portrays a world-weary detective trying to solve a series of gruesome murders. With these two very different roles, this talented Oscar-winning actress again proves her versatility.
An avid Sarandon fan, Mack Bates conducted an in-depth interview with Sarandon a few years ago for The Leader, a University of Wisconsin student newspaper. He also contributed to Tucker's book about Sarandon (Susan Sarandon: A True Maverick) and now writes for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He also serves as a staff blogger for Milwaukee Magazine's official film blog.

It was April of 2008, and the LoCash Cowboys were doing what they do best--rocking a packed house. They were at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon, where the two of them--Preston Brust and Chris Lucas--had met a few years earlier. The amped-up crowd was living, screaming proof that they had put the time since then to good use. They had been criss-crossing the country, honing their craft on stages large and small, developing one of the most dynamic live shows in any genre of music. Along the way, they had sold more than 60,000 copies of their homemade CD, earned endorsements from the likes of Budweiser, shared bills with artists including Charlie Daniels and ZZ Top, performed at halftime of NBA and U.S. Olympic team basketball games, and earned television appearances ranging from Tanya Tucker's reality show "Tuckerville" to "Pageant School: Becoming Miss America," writing the theme songs for both.
Tune in on Monday August 18th @ 8 pm for the Premier of Evolution: Reveal.Heal.Evolve...Spiritually, Mentally, Physically, Emotionally and Financially with Charmaine.
I am NOT worthy!
A single mother will tell her testimony of why she has been in bondage for so many years. She is her own worst enemy!!! Not feeling worthy enough to step into her purpose. We will address those areas in her life that have been a hinderance to her evolving and growing. Her PAST has a hold on her and she doesn't know how to move forward. Stagnation holds us back from our GREATER purpose. Life and circumstances have her paralyzed.

Dr. Linda Tucker
In Today’s teaching, we are examining the Spirit of competition:
Case #1: You call someone to tell them about your vision; they don’t have time to listen. You ask them to be a guest on your radio show, which only requires 15 to 30 minutes of their time and they tell you they are quite busy with a full schedule, and will get back with you. A few weeks later, you tell them about a jazz festival featuring Prince and they tell you “I will be there? Are you ready?
DUE TO VARIOUS ISSUES, REVKESS & ZARACON HAVE RESCHEDULED THIS EDITION OF PWN FOR FRIDAY, 22 AUGUST. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE LATE NOTICE.
In recent weeks citizens of the United States, especially in Missouri, have gotten a reminder of just how dark the world can be. On PWN we try to cover both the good and the bad with an emphasis on the good. Sometimes it is very hard to find good things to talk about when the media and social networks are plastered with the bad. We'll talk about Ferguson, MO and the turmoil there, but we'll also talk about good things in this episode.
RevKess will also talk in brief about his wonderful Tuesday experience with SJ Tucker and Betsy Tinney, both at the radio station and at there recent concert in Lincoln, NE.
Can we talk? WHY IS FERGUSON HAPPENING? President Obama will not can not run again for president so the candidates are all posturing for their run in 2016. What does that say about their disappearance during these troubled times in St. Louis Missouri. This is so reminiscent of Katrina. Why won't these people stand up for what's right and support this great nations creedo? 'All men are created equal". We don't yet know what happened but we do know another unarmed black male was shot and killed by a white police officer. I'm tired of this America. It's gotta change. We aren't game to be killed at whites whim!
Melissa Harris-Perry put it as plain as day
