#provers on Jakeh and the Oracle, see the textual footnote at verse 1. Agur, the author of this chapter 1:1 and Ithiel and Ucal the recipients, are otherwise unknown. These Proverbs, though written for specific individuals, have application for all people. An oracle is a message from God. Oration which usual announces a declaration of the Lord is used twice for the oracle or proclamation of men.
30:2-3 some men claim to have to grasp on God. What Job eventually came to realize Job 40:4 Agur reverently states at the beginning: i have no knowledge of the Holy One.
30:4 Gathering wind and binding waters refer to God's control of thunderstorms, which are important for the agricultural cycle. Asking about God's name is asking whether the hearer knows his character. HIs son could refer to Israel HS 11:1 or to anyone whom God teaches DT 8:5 Hebrews 12:6 but Jesus fulfilled the role perfectly Mt 2:15

In this episode I will discuss in good faith the biblical meaning of the second and third chapters of the Holy Bible. I will discuss what God's judgement looks like on a personal level, and why we can say that God has a right to judge His people. I will talk about the justification of God in the mists of applying these verses to our personal life as believers and how we can move through opposition by simply using the bible and reading it
BOOK CLUB HIATUS until next week. Tune in as we discuss the next chapters in this wonderful book. We always have a lively discussion about the book and sometimes it brings up memories of our own live which we love to share with you.
I actually watched the movie for the first time this weekend. (this is Nina) It was a good movie but it centered more on the trial and not so much on the characters. You really don't get to know the characters in the movie like you do in the book and I found a lot of the important events in the book were not even metioned in the movie.
Last week we discussed chapters 7 to 9. It is quite enchanting to return to Maycomb County each week and the sleepy simplistic lifestyle that Ms Lee shows us including all the ins and outs of proper behaviors that Scout readily fought during her "coming of age" years. Join us and see how easily you'll slip into a time long gone with standards and beliefs we hope are somewhat far behind current society's treatment of each other!
This week we'll cover Chapters 4-6. Last week was wonderful with colorful descriptions of the South when Scout "Ms Jean Louise Finch" started school for the first time. We had a rousing discussion about "Cooties" and what they meant to everyone as well as the gender of Scout as she was introduced to us in the first 22 pages. There's much to read, say and discuss so join us for time-honored entertainment of feeding the brain. There is a Rainbow of books out there and we hope you support reading through shows like this. Here's a lovely tidbit to tickle your funny bone as Jimmy Fallon provides us with a wonderful cover of "Reading Rainbow" as Jim Morrison

For the past few weeks we have been delving into questions about the Christian faith. Tonight we are going to begin a study that will bring to light the words that our Savior, Yahshua/Jesus made to Nicodemus the Pharisee, as recorded in St. John Chapter 3 the 3rd verse, and I quote. "I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God."
Here, our Lord is telling Nicodemus, and you and I today, that, in order to become saved, our life, our thoughts and our actions must all begin again. Our old carnal, flesh-led ways must become dead to us, and a holy, Spirit-led lifestyle must begin to nurture itself and grow within us.
Tonight we are going to begin to answer the most important question of all, that being, "how can one really know if he or she is saved?"
I believe that if we earnestly strive to live according to the teachings of Christ, in particular, those taught in Five Chapters in the Book of Matthew, we will enter into the eternal rest of Heaven, guaranteed.
The chapters that we will be studying are chapters that we have gone over in the past, however, we will be examining each of them with a more critical and discerning eye. Are we honestly seeking to live up to the standards established by Yahshua Ha Mashiach, or are we in truth, just faking it, in hopes of making it?
