For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world
1 John 4:1
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,
My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding
ANN CHAPLIN is a singer/songwriter from Deep River, Ontario. Her 2008 debut EP What I Meant To Say received 4 nominations from The IMAs (Independent Music Awards). Her Country album Drive was released in January 2013. Growing up in Northern Ontario, Ann began writing songs on the family piano as soon as she was tall enough to reach the keys, and was a part of every choir and band that her school had to offer. In high school, she played viola in the Deep River Symphony Orchestra. Her love of sports and the outdoors also kept her very busy, as she taught sailing and karate for years. Music was the path she chose and years laters she found herself at Noble Street Studios recording her first Country album with some of the industry’s finest musicians and produced by Toronto’s Douglas Romanow. Her first single Wylie received national radio play and created a platform for her second single Whiskey Days which was a top 10 DMDS radio download. Now, Ann has released Drive - the title track from her current CD - to Country radio. Tune in and get to know this talented Ontario Country artist and her music.
Ted Bergman grew up in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, sold his first TV comedy script, The Munsters, while still a senior at UCLA and claims that girls still continued to ignore him. A short time later he became the youngest staff writer for The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, earning an Emmy nomination which he claims he’s never lived up to. Bergman’s producing and writing credits range from The Hollywood Squares to All in the Family, Sanford and Son, What's Happening, Gimme a Break, The Garry Shandling Show and way too many unsold pilots like, Who Needs Friends?! and The al-Qaida Comedy Hour.
Ted and his wife Kathy, a mosaic artist, now live in Northern California, in the heart of the Napa Sonoma wine country with their Abyssinian cat, Cecil and their Jack Russell Terrier, Jake.
Ted Bergman’s current comedy projects are his website: dogsandcatsgohollywood.com and a YouTube Channel that is premiering his new web series, The Canine Cat News Network. Ted describes CCNN as funny, irreverent, anti-cute take on the news, seen through the eyes of it’s co-anchors, a freewheeling feline named, Ziggy and an tightly wound Terrier named, Jake.

Michael Chaplin's fascinating new book, A Fallen God, sets the stage for a profound interview about the force of DESTINY. No stranger to fate and fortune, Michael is the son of film legend, Charlie Chaplin. Michael is an author, actor and producer, currently working on "The Caravan's Trail, Chaplin's Untold Story," a documentary about the Gypsy heritage of Charlie Chaplin. Charlie was born in the Gypsy Queen's caravan. The history of the gypsies, said to come from Egypt and to be followers of Mary Magdalene's daughter Sara-Tamar, has its own interesting spiritual side. Michael's destiny led him to many places including to his own special home in Montsegur, South West France. This place also happens to be the location of one of the Cathar's last strongholds against the Vatican. Montsegur castle is believed to be the inspiration for the castle in Eschenbach's poem Parzival, the medieval German poem about the quest for the grail. Coincidence? Or Destiny?

Cadence Grace, Ann Chaplin and Stacey Zegers have had major successes in their own right as solo female artists, but never imagined that together their collective talents would catapult them to an entirely new level as Runaway Angel.
Individually, they have toured Canada, the United States, Europe and Britain, opening for major acts like Dean Brody, Aaron Pritchett, One More Girl, Jessie Farrell, Aaron Lines, Terri Clark, Emerson Drive, and Doc Walker.
It all began in 2009 when Stacey and Cadence met on set during the filming of CMT’s Karaoke Star, where both were finalists and became fast friends. Cadence then met Ann at CCMA Week in 2011 and they clicked instantly. In late 2013, the three friends joined forces and together Runaway Angel was born.
The girls’ first online release in January 2014 titled ‘Our Story’ was the first song they wrote together as a trio and it landed them in the Regional Finals for the 2014 CBC Searchlight contest. Summer of 2014 was filled with ground breaking experiences for the trio, who enjoyed their first opening spots as a group for Dierks Bentley and Tim Hicks, and played in the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase. They were invited to present an award at the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards and attended 2014 Country Music Week in Edmonton where they performed in the Coast to Coast Showcase at West Edmonton Mall.
March 9th, 2015 was the release of their debut single ‘Run Angel Run’ co-written with Ole Publishing’s Bruce Wallace and produced by award-winning producer Jason Barry. Stacey, Ann and Cadence are excited to release their debut EP this spring.
Runaway Angel earned 4 nominations at the 2015 CMAO Awards.
Barbara Welcomes back the very talented and gifted Cynthia Jordan. On top of being an amazing song writer and singer Cynthia now adds the title of Author to her many gifts. Her last book, Pearl, was warmly recieved by great numbers and her latest book, Diamond, continues her journey through the early decades of this country and the adventures of those ladies who were membersof Miss Pearls Parlor.
The year is 1924.
Corsets are out.
Freedom is in.
Movies are silent
and Hollywood is shaping American culture.
From coast to coast young girls like Heather Smith dream of becoming a movie star. One day two men shooting a western film near San Angelo, Texas, come to Miss Pearl's Parlor for some fun.
Is this Heather's big chance??
Wyatt Earp, Mae West, Charlie Chaplin...
Their stories will astound you. Diamond reminds us that when we remove the glitzy glamour, smoke and mirrors it is our human nature that makes us all the same.
These books are so much more than light hearted fiction, they are a reality that many women faced in those early decades of the twentyth century and how they prospered in spite of the limitations they faced.

Dean Haglund is back from Australia where he was busy laying the groundwork for his full-time move down under in May. While he was there, he Skyped with Phil Leirness because, well, your friends in podcasting miss each other when they are apart AND because there was the big news about the return of “The X-Files” to discuss. Part of this week’s show will be that (recorded) conversation, wherein they also discuss Gillian Anderson’s “other” current series, the absolutely terrific “The Fall”.
Back in L.A. there’s plenty of TV news to discuss, including Emmy Awards rulings, a new host for "The Daily Show", the return of “Coach”, the possible return of “Twin Peaks” and the “Sherlock” Christmas special. Before his trip, Dean performed and gave a fantastic presentation about Chaplin and City Lights at the Los Angeles Breakfast Club. This will get discussed as the “Live Event of the Week” before Dean and Phil launch into movie news featuring the latest on Eddie Murphy, Idris Elba, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Bradley Cooper. All that, plus two puzzling emails from listeners.
