R&B/Jazz singer Chante Moore discuss new Album, "Moore Is More", R&B Divas, Dating, New Book, Ex Husband Kenny Lattimore and more..
Chante met and befriended El DeBarge and wound up singing backup on on the song "You Know What I Like," on his In the Storm album. Through her friendship with DeBarge, Chante became friends with his manager, who eventually became her manager, as well. About a month after hiring a manager, Chante landed a recording contract with MCA Records and began working on her first album. Her debut, which she titled Precious, was released in 1992 and went on to sell over half a million copies, thanks in part to two singles, "Love's Taken Over" and "It's Alright," which became top five hits on the R&B charts. In 1993, she met and began dating the actor Kadeem Hardison, best known at the time for his role as Dwayne Wayne the NBC sitcom "A Different World."

Moore has recorded several hit records, including "Love's Taken Over," "It's Alright," "I'm What You Need," "Old School Lovin," and "Free" (a Deniece Williams cover). Moore recorded "Your Home Is in My Heart" with Boyz II Men for the How Stella Got Her Groove Back soundtrack. Moore was also featured on the soundtrack of Waiting to Exhale in 1995 with the song "Wey U."
The song, which featured harmonic vocalisations and no actual words, was acclaimed by critics for demonstrating Moore's vocal range, with music reviewer Tracy E. Hopkins at Barnes and Noble remarking that it "showcases Moore's Minnie Riperton–reminiscent pipes". In 1998, Moore also collaborated with musician Keith Washington for the duet "I Love You."

I affectionately deem my guest as this generation's Minnie Ripperton as this R&B Diva's octaves are stupendously phenomenal and takes us to the upper realms of the threshold of heaven's gates. She has an illustrious career and has been seen and singing with the likes of Stephanie Mills, Keith Washington, R. Kelly, Ron Isley, Dave Hollister, Tisha Campbell-Martin, and Kenny Lattimore.
Her grace, style, elegance, sophistication, and poise has always kept her en vogue and has always been statement amongst the musical elite. Currently, she is about to release a new cd project, "Moore is More" and is enjoying the success of being a cast member of R&B Divas L.A.
Chante Moore is here and will be Dishing Tea on how she has managed her career, her sabatical from recording, being famous and raising a family, battling negative press, and staying grounded to her faith based foundation.
