Colors affect our lives from our moods to how people react to us. Here's a basic video showing the primary and some complimentary colors. It's targeted to children, but the music and colors are vibrant to remind you of some colors we will talk about regarding personality etc.
Here's some basic information about colors and what is usually associated with some of them:
Colors basically come from light refractions, which is the basis of their affects. We all need light to thrive.
Red = movement, excitement, passion
Orange = affordable, creativity, sociable, agreeable
Green = fresh, new, money, nature
Pink has been used to lower agression in prisons and even used to lower the drives of visiting teams at sports events by painting the rooms they'd use with pink tones.
people prefer colors that duplicate their climate, so warmer climates tend to look for more warm bright tones, where as climates that are cold people prefer muted colors.
educated people prefer more sophisticated color choices with more unusual names and are tertiary in basis. Less educated people prefer basic primary colors or secondary colors.
